I'm trying to create an Aspect Analysis in Sims.net and have done this numerous times before but can't find how to create a new Aspect Pattern. Can anyone help?

I hope someone can help -or let me know if this is only happening on my system or if its changed for everyone We have been struggling with this all week, while printing Individual Reports for the whole school, in the past we were able to select 'ALL YEARS' to see the list of the whole school, then sort by REG to group the pupils by registration classes and then PRINT - this would print them in the order listed on the list, giving us class groups which could be distributed easily. Since the latest update we are unable to do this - although we still select all pupils and can sort on the lest by REG, regardless of the order on the list reports are printed in ALPHABETICAL Order. I've tried this for different groups and with different orders and it still always prints in alphabetical order. We have found two work arounds which are both very time consuming 1) Select each REG class and print class by class - this takes a long time as each class has to process separately and then print 2) Print the whole school alphabetically and then MANUALLY sort into reg class - again very time consuming. Has anyone else noticed this?

When emailing multiple assessment reports to Form Tutors only the first report is being sent - same with parents of twins. I am assuming there is something somewhere in the settings where you can set intouch to send multiple reports (similar to surpress duplicates in reports) Has anyone had similar issues and know where the pesky little tick box is hidden? TIA

I need to create a Capita SIMS assessment manager sheet that does the same calculation as this Excel =PERCENTRANK() function. Its full components in Excel are: =PERCENTRANK(Array,X,[significance]) An example Array could be - 13,17,27,33,42,56,61,69,74,83,95,98 I am looking to find the percentage rank of each of the values in that array (x) - they are test scores. The significance does not matter as much, as 4-6 decimal places would be handy to sort values that are close to each other out in a larger array. What would be the equation for this function? I've tried to look up this function but cannot find the maths behind it or how to apply it within a SIMS assessment manager sheet. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi We are one of two schools which are in a ‘soft’ federation. We have remote access to our partner school’s SIMS Assessment application and network via Team Viewer. I would like to import a SIMS Assessment template from our partner school’s SIMS application. I’ve already saved it in .xml format on our partner school’s network, but unfortunately when I try to import the file into our own SIMS, the error message 'File cannot be imported as import type is invalid' appears. I'm obviously doing something wrong somewhere along the line. Would anyone be able to enlighten me accordingly, and/or show me where I can find a basic guide for importing templates/aspects/individual reports, etc. ? Very many thanks in anticipation.

HI all, I have a special school (secondary) that is moving from Integris G2 to SIMS based on a demo, but when they have looked at assessment, its going to be a nightmare to use on a day to day basis for this module. Is anyone aware of any software available that can handle P-Scales, Levels and Pivot which is totally customisable. Also needs to be able to feed into SIMS. Thanks in advance

I am trying to add another column to the student information in a marksheet. I have a UDF for Young Carer and it doesn't appear in the list that I can select from. I am sure I have seen that you can add this but I can't remember how. Is it possible or am I making it all up? I apologise if this has already been covered, I have been searching the threads for ages and cant find anything. TIA, Sally

Hi We create student progress reports using SIMS Assessment Manager Individual Reports. To provide parents with online access these are uploaded and become linked documents to the students record There is a small handful of reports that I need to manually edit. How can I edit the uploaded xml files and save so that online versions show the changes? Many Thanks Graham Jons

Hi Guys, Hopefully you can help! I've been designing our end of term report templates and hit a bit of a problem. Each subject has it's own table which works fine when a student takes every subject but if a subject is not taken we need the table to disappear. The rows where the data goes disappear fine with the 'Hide rows with no results' box ticked but the headings remain. Is there any way to get the headings to vanish as well? Thanks for any advice that can be offered!

Hi I’m a MSA working for a school which will transfer from SIMS to Bromcom within the next 3 months. I need to ensure as much preparatory work is completed by 22nd May, as the migration will be occurring during half term. I thought it might be an idea for me to start replicating the aspects/resultsets/gradesets we have within SIMS, in Bromcom. I am assuming that this will need to be done anyway, in readiness for the time our data is migrated from SIMS, and when we'll go live after half term, so that the incoming data has a definite destination point within Bromcom and will not be rejected. I have a number of queries relating to this process, as follows: 1. Will the migration from SIMS to Bromcom automatically include those from an external provider (i.e. CES Assessment Services)? 2. Presumably it will just be a matter for me to create the individual gradesets within Bromcom, and clone from there as required. However, when it comes to the ‘Marks-Decimal’ & ‘Marks –Integer’ gradesets, will I need to create these individually, as they’ll have different maximum & minimum thresholds? 3. Are there any other particular points I need to bear in mind when replicating our existing assessment components within Bromcom (I’ve been on the assessment training course, and wonder if there were any definite do’s & don’ts when I come to do this)? In addition, are there any particular sections within the Bromcom documentation centre which you have found to be particularly relevant and helpful in assisting you with the process? Apologies if I haven’t made myself clear. Many thanks in anticipation of your assistance.

Hello We want to hide the SEN Status and SEN Needs fields from the Additional Student Information area within SIMS. Is this possible? If so, how would I go about it. On a related note, is it possible to introduce what is currently an aspect into Additional Student Information. This would ensure this aspect is available to every student focussed marksheet. Many thanks for any help Graham G.

Hi is there any anyway to export all mark sheets into one single excel file by year group.
