I remember my 486 having a turbo button that took the clock speed from 33 Mhz up to a dizzying 66 Mhz, that extra 33 Mhz made all the difference playing Doom.

Bought American Truck Simulator over the weekend, already spent way too much time on it.

@sonofsanta I have Ocarina of Time on my N64 and have never played it, all my N64 gets used for is Goldeneye and Mario Kart

I do love a good sleeper car, I've had pretty cars that looked fast but the most fun I had was in my R32 Skyline, if you didn't know what a Skyline was you'd just look at it and think it some old S**tbox Nissan but with 300 horses under the bonnet it was great fun for trolling the BMW and Audi brigade

was the driver using autopilot? I'm still not sure how it's even legal in this country, don't car companies need special permissions from the government to use driverless technology on public roads?

all 3 are running, the DFS Replication and DFS Namespace services are both running too, but when I run a heath report from DFS Managment it's saying it can not access the local WMI repository. I've check and the WMI service is also running.

Yeah sorry I ran a chkdsk last night and it's still the same, still nothing showing up in event viewer, I think I've resigned myself to rebuilding it in the half term.

Did anyone play It came from the Desert? It was an Amiga game but it had a shockingly bad PC port which is available on steam as part of the Cinemaware collection it was great fun, especially trying to escape from the hospital, zooming around in a wheelchair trying to avoid the doctors and nurses chasing you and ducking in to rooms to hide under bed sheets.

we had a recent situation involving Instagram and posts that were made out of school hours but involved our kids and we stepped in, I can't go into detail about why we got involved but the head decided we needed to.

I converted my Megadrive so I could play a JDM version of Hard Drivin' all that was involved was filing down 2 sections of the slot that you put the cartridge in to.

We set up a Unreal tournament server at the college I was at and my fellow BTEC friends and I would play that in the programming lab instead of learning how to program in Cobal, time well spent me thinks.

Here's my console history with the Game that was the reason I bought it. Atari 2600 (Combat) Sega Master System (Sonic) Amiga 500+ (tons but mainly Microprose GP) Sega Megadrive (Sonic again) PS1 (Destruction Derby) PS2 (Gran Turismo 3) N64 (Goldeneye) Xbox (Halo) Xbox 360 (Gears of War) Wii (Wii Sports) Xbox One (Forza Horizon 2) I Had a Game Gear and a PSP in there too but can't for the life of me think what game(s) I bought them for.

I have 2 DCs, the service just hangs saying it's starting when I try to start it manually it's the same with all of the other services that haven't started automatically. All of the major services seem to be working ok, DHCP, DNS, group policy. the only thing that is worrying me is that the off-site backup runs from the 2nd DC and I'm not sure what files are being backed up because the DFS is out of sync.

Tried DCdiag and it failed the sysvolcheck and I investigated further and found that DFS Replication isn't working :-/ Still no further in figuring this out.

I'd have a Nissan GTR as a daily driver or possibly a Audi RS6, the Mrs wants an R8 but I'm not a fan of them, I'd rather have a 911 GT3 RS

no luckily the server cabinet protected the servers and switches from the water. I'll try removing the NIC team but I think that may just be a side effect of a bigger underlying problem.

We had a flood here over the weekend when one of our water pressure boosting tanks burst and my Server room was right in the middle of the water pouring in though the celling, I got a phone call from our premises manager to tell me and I got him to turn the power off to the room as it was going to take me an hour to get in, the UPS should have then cut in and started the shut down process on the 4 servers connected to it but from the looks of it one of the DC's failed to shut down and instead kept on trucking until the batteries went flat. When I turned it back on everything seemed to be working on the domain, computers are able to log in and shares specific to that server are available but yesterday when I tried to connect to it via Remote desktop the connection wouldn't establish saying that RDP might not be enabled on the server, I plugged a screen and keyboard in to the server and noticed that it was saying windows isn't activated and several services have failed to start and it just seems to take ages to do anything, this is a new server that I only bought at the end of 2015 so it should be super quick. The only error I'm getting in event viewer is an error saying that there is a duplicate MAC in the NIC team, I tried rebooting it several times last night and each time it starts up just fine and looks like it's working but as soon as you look at the services you realise that it's not. Does anyone have any suggestion before I have to re-install the OS?

We had a similar thing with one of our teachers, I told her it was probably dead because she had tried turning it on while it was still wet but after leaving it in a warm dry room for a week or two I was pleasantly surprised that it turned back on and seemed to function just fine.
