Windows 10 test PC's on Sophos reporting as Windows 8
GuyJD replied to kennysarmy's topic in Windows 10
yep they are showing as Windows 8 on my console too, I've never noticed that. I'm on SEC 5.3.1 -
I have a 32" Sharp 1080p LED on the wall in the bedroom and I can't tell the difference between films running at 1080 and 720.

I must admit the only issues I'm having with the DZ on xbox is that I get my backside handed to me regularly because I'm just not that good in PvP.

Almost certainly, it's a lot harder to modify client-side code on a console, not impossible but not something you're average 15 year old could do.

My preview program invite never came through, is it normally a sure thing that you'll get the message if you've been invited?

That would be Google street view's face detection at work combined with lazy newspaper editors not wanting to send someone there to get a photo.

I have a Cooler master hyper evo on my current setup i5-4690k I kept it from my old system that ran a Q6600 which was a very power hungry, hot running cpu and it kept that in check no problem.

Id have found themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place, on one hand they want to make a great game but on the other hand they want to stay true to the original game that without a doubt holds a place in all out hearts. From what I heard the closed beta played too much like a COD/Halo game and people had a go at them for that and now with the open beta they've changed the feel of the game and people have said that it feels dated and can't compete with modern FPS games. They've got to find that balance between old and new that very few remakes ever manage to nail.

Apparently this is a feature of Windows 10 where it will rotate photos and their respective thumbnails to how it thinks they should be orientated and there doesn't seem to be a way you change it so it saves to the photo, you can tell Windows to rotate it and it will show it differently on your screen within explorer but as soon as you try to upload that photo it's in the wrong orientation. Case in point I tried to upload a picture of my cat and dog to the edupets thread, it looks fine on my pc and is in a portrait orientation but when I upload it to the forum it's in landscape, so I thought I'd rotate it 90 degrees clockwise on my pc and re-upload it but nope, still comes out in the exact same landscape orientation as before. I've tried rotating it in the right click context menu and by opening it in the photo app. I've noticed this a few times when uploading pictures to our website and when sending emails to people not on Windows 10 and can't find a way to fix it. Google doesn't seem to have a solution either, has anyone found a way to fix this? *p.s this is a desktop I'm doing this on not a tablet

I'd imagine there would be a small price drop of the PS4 come the release of the 4.5 so I'd wait.

I honestly haven't seen any obviously cheating player in the DZ on the xbox but I agree with you you far less likely to see hackers on console where it's a lot harder to implement code.

missed that, I would have liked to try it. The Doom open beta was this weekend too.

Don't be silly this is Microsoft we're talking about, it'll be 1TB at most

Sad news, quite possibly one of the most famous voices in London *waits for the inevitable photo of a grave with Mind the gap photoshopped on the floor next to it*

I think it's possibly we will see 2 new XB1's at E3 the first being the obligatory slimline version and the 2nd to be Microsoft's original vision of the xbox one, an always online, digital download only version of the console.

I played the s**t out of the first game but when GfWL went offline and took access to it with them it soured me on the whole franchise and I never really got back into the later games The new Sebastien Loeb game looked really good from what I saw but tanked in the reviews.

That's not good, I hope you don't get flagged for hacking as they are cracking down on the people that glitch their way outside the playable area.

Has anyone else noticed bugs since the update? On Xbox I've noticed that when I go to change my appearance my character just appears as a silhouette and while in a safe house all of the other players just seem to constantly be trying equip and unequip their weapons, I also had a Restock crate that wouldn't open (didn't even give me the option to open it) part way though the Radio transmitter story mission.

I like the idea of being able to get resale value on a game but when companies like CEX offer you 15-20% of the RRP and then go on to sell it used for 5-10% less than RRP it really bugs me and to be honest I'd rather keep it that let them rip me off.

I use Redstor here and never had an issue with it, I used to work for a reseller and had to monitor the daily backups for all the schools we supplied it to and we never had an issue where data was lost for any of the schools.
