Surely the students home drive is a working folder and the student should be able to have their work full of edits and notes, what if the teacher looks at the work in the home folder and the work is marked in an unfinished state? Personally I'd go with having the 'Hand in' share for finished work.

I stick with HP now, I did try some Fujitsu's a few years back but they had a lot of wifi issues.

I had a problem with Screws falling out of Toshiba laptops back in the days of the L300 and I've steered clear of them ever since.

I can't get this to work on my PC, it just gets to the Playground Games logo and crashes, I tried all of the workarounds that they suggest but nothing gets it any further, works great on my xbox though lol I prefer FH2 though, I think I just prefer the south of France location and what seems like less trees to hit, you can pretty much guarantee that if you go of road in FH3 and there is one lonesome tree you will hit it no matter what you do.

I suppose it depends on the LEA, our Lea filtering says that it can take up to 12 hours to process 7 days of data but I just ran a report to show every url I've accessed in the past 7 days and it returned in 6 minutes, easy stuff like top 10 denied urls only takes a couple of seconds to process.

That option has never worked for me, the easiest way I've found is to keep an ipad out of the management system (normally one that has a cracked screen and is out of circulation) and use airdrop to send files from the managed ipads to that one which can them be plugged in to a windows pc.

It might be worth checking the memory modules, my imac reverted to just a white screen when one of the modules failed, I took out the failed module and it booted fine on the remaining one.

Allowing a remote user access but not too much

Thanks @DavidYoung I'll look into it -
Excellent, thanks very much, it worked like a charm.

I'm pretty sure Linus Tech Tips on YouTube did this and listed all the pros and cons, I think the only Pro was the price of used server hardware.

Since the Windows 10 Anniversary update Easi-View isn't working on any of my classroom PC's (no error messages, just fails to launch), it was working on previous Windows 10 builds but has decided to stop working in this one, has anyone on here had the same issue and more to the point found a way to get it working again, I've tried compatibility settings and re-installing the software but neither has worked. Has anyone had the same issue or even better found a fix for it?

Allowing a remote user access but not too much

We have to use Cisco AnyConnect which will set up the VPN and I can manage the account that they will use to set up the VPN as well as the account they use to log in to the server, I guess I'm just over analsing the situation as it's quite a well respected company that want access. -
I'd be tempted to park for free on a street in a London suburb and get the train for the last part of the journey.

You can enter MAK keys in to VAMT and activate the clients through the tool

I have a bit of an issue, our head teacher has signed up for some new online service that connects to our SIMS database to read and write data, to get it up and running the external company need remote access to our admin server, now obviously I'm really not happy with this but the head insists it has to happen. So my question is, what is the best way to allow them RDP access to the server to install and configure their software but without giving them full admin rights to the server? Because of LGfL's amazing policy on not allowing shared remote access, services like Logmein or TeamViewer are not an option, I'm going to be blind to what is going on while they install so obviously I'm a bit concerned.

Went to see Deepwater Horizon over the weekend and have to say I was expecting it to be better, the problem with "Based on a true story" films is they either have to stay true to the actual events and get you emotionally involved with the characters or go the other way and say the event actually happened but everything else we just made up a bit like James Cameron's Titanic, Deepwater Horizon sort of fell in the middle and did neither of the above very well at all, I walked out feeling a little bit meh.

What are your main reasons to upgrade your network infrastructure?

Gearing up is so easy now with the new update, I spent most of Thursday while I was off work sick matchmaking in the Underground and got a ton of new gear even my handgun is (a first wave PX-45 I think)160k DPS, I'm loving the new G36 Assault rifles but all of the choice of gear set are confusing as hell right now.Going back above ground I'm finding I'm just using my hand gun to conserve ammo on anyone other than a named enemy in PvE.

Games don't need to be designed with VR at their heart, there are plenty of games that support VR without being classed as a VR game. I think both headsets have already sold more than the manufactures were expecting, the component shortage and wait times to get them proved that.

I only recently bought a new one as the ventilation in my old one was causing my 970 to thermal throttle, I now have a rather snazzy Thermaltake Core V21

Poll: What should the next Minecraft server be?
GuyJD replied to localzuk's topic in EduGeek Minecraft
I've not played Minecraft in a while and to be honest one of the main reasons is all the different mod packs on MP servers, I don't have time to sit down and learn new stuff I just want to get in an build something cool. This was the last one I spent any time with and that was back in 2012 with around 10 of us playing consistently for a fair few hours a week. -
Didn't Windows 7 ship with a 720 and 1080 test video in the sample videos folder? Will probably be in wmv format though.

I voted 11-15 but now that I've thought about it, it's probably 20+ Me and the OH will get home at 6ish and have the Xboxes on by 8 and play 'til midnight most weeknights and on weekends when I'm broke the days will be full of The Division, Forza and BF4
