  1. I do a lot of video editing here, I started using windows movie maker initially when I was first asked to do it but now I use Adobe Premier and it gives a much more professional look to the videos, I've also used Blender to create 3D intros following Youtube tutorials, never thought of using Powerpoint for basic animations though, I'll have to give that a go. I film and edit stuff for most events we do, but the big ones are Year 6 Leavers video (need to start that soon) e-safety day and I'll do a lot of the background visuals for the Year 6 end of year production. I enjoy video editing more than anything else in my job so the more I can do the better, just need an apretice to handle the day to day techie issues while I'm doing it.
  2. I have one, and currently have 5 kids living under my roof, so in total 6 games consoles, 7 mobile phones, my games PC (wired), 3 laptops kodi box and 2 Now TV boxes all connected and most being used at the same time and it hasn't missed a beat, had it since January.

Mount it to the wall with a picture frame around it and if the boss asks about it, say it's one of those digital picture frames.
  4. along the same sort of line, I've watched a couple of old episodes of Tomorrows World on YouTube that popped up in my recommended feed, it's really interesting how far we've come in such a short amount of time.
  5. That's for the 6s only
  6. What about setting their browser startup page to an intranet page with all the information on it?
  7. I think the same, this didn't happen until iOS 10.2 on any of our phones, the most Apple have said is it's to do with new code implemented to stop batteries overheating in the wake of the Samsung problems.
  8. I've done every update since hoping it might sort it out but it's still the same.
  9. no wasn't me, I barely use my twitter these days.
  10. I've got some 5 port D-Link eco switches in our PPA room and they have been fine, never had an issue with them, as long as they are not going to accidentally get switched off or kicked you should be fine.
  11. I really wanted to hold out for the iPhone 8 coming out before upgrading again but if I can't rely on it any more then I may have to swap it for a 7 early. My 2 oldest boys have iPhone 5s' and they both shut down with over 50% battery left, I was going to get new batteries for them off of ebay but I'm worried about cheap batteries exploding after the issues Samsung have had.
  12. Is anyone else on here having an issues with iOS misreporting battery charge? Since updating my iPhone 6 to iOS 10.2 it seems to stick at 100% all day and if I've been using it a lot throughout the day it will shut down and say it's out of power. Even if I notice it and reboot the phone myself it still doesn't pick up the correct battery level, so I'm stuck with a phone that won't tell me when it's going to die, it doesn't do it every time it's at 100% but I'd say it's around 50% of the time. I'm not seeing this issue on any of our school iPads so I'm guessing it's limited to the phone OS and as per usual Apple are denying there is a problem.
  13. That's what Golden Axe taught me. I can't help but feel that the whole flat earth thing is just a trolling exercise that has got way out of hand.
  14. I bought that very same LG soundbar recently, it was the best of the bunch I listened to in that price range but now that I have it home and set up I can't say that I'm really impressed with it to be honest, it's either too bassy or not bassy enough, I can't seem to hit that happy medium with it.
  15. Why oh why do American TV shows get to pick and choose when they put out a show? I've been watching Blindspot season 2 and they had a break from the middle of November until January and then they've taken another break since the 22nd of February until this coming Wednesday. It's so infuriating getting into a weekly show and then waiting over a month for the next one for no apparent reason. Surly it's just encouraging people to binge watch once the season has finished meaning the network lose out on the advertising revenue when it's shown on the telly.

Am I the only one that is confused by this thread now? It made sense before when it was last game you bought/completed but now it's just a mish-mash of conversations, I've got no idea what games people have been talking about for the past page. Wouldn't it make more sense to have threads for separate games?
  20. It isn't but there's someone sat in an office coming up with new names for things so they can say they've made changes and justify their £100k a year job.
  21. I think most local authorities have their own MIS support service, We get ours through Greenwich LA, they are pretty quick at sorting problems, deal with Capita on our behalf if needed and do all the upgrades for us.
  22. yep there was a recall on them for that reason, I had a few do it (not as bad as yours) got them all replaced by HP
  23. My activity report shows mine going down at about 6:50am and came back up just after 9am
  24. Personally I'm more concerned that it was down since the early hours of the morning but they themselves didn't seem to know until 8-9am
  25. Well that's unfortunate
