@Phoenix_IT talk.google is allowed in my exception list so it should be ok.. Thanks
-
Hi, Has anyone using LGFL filtering managed to get Google Drive desktop client to work reliably? If so would you mind sharing your allowed list? Mine intermittently connects so I imagine there is a list of addresses I need to allow apart from drive.google.com etc Many Thanks

Active Panel Touch problems USB cable not recognised
mowgli82 replied to loxford120's topic in Promethean Direct Support
Have you tried an active USB cable. Newer PCs don't seem to pump out as much power through their USB ports as older machines. -
have you considered a laser link if there is line of sight, they will run a gig. They don't work too well when its snow though.

If I bulk reset everyone's password in AD would that work or is there a reason why they have to do it themselves? I am in a primary school so would rather not get the kids to change it themselves.

I wasn't aware of that, I thought GADS did the whole lot. I was planning to roll out GADS over the summer hols. I better look at getting GAPS setup as well. :o/
-
Sorry to hijack this, why do you need GAPS if you already have GADS installed and configured. Have I missed something????

I have done this, you would need to create the correct disk partitions first. The easiest way to is to do a Windows install but cancel it after has created the partitions. you could always use VEAM Endpoint which is free and do a bare metal recovery with the recovery disk it creates

ok, another question. is there a way to stop the chromebook remembering last logged on users?

Hi Guys, How do people go about using GADS and Chromebooks? I have setup a OU in GAFE and added an exclusion in GADS under Google Apps Configuration > Exclusion rules using the ORGUNIT_PATH so that i can enroll my devices to that OU but it is left untouched by GADS. Is this how other people do it? Thanks

@xcvtop yes, just install to a network share
-
I run it from a network share

I've heard of the GPO restrictions not applying when students disconnect the LAN after authentication but not the powercable :o/

Thanks @kennysarmy -- I have Brother HL printers at the moment so they cost significantly more per print but I can't find anywhere on the net that gives me the figures per print.
-
Hi Guys, I am trying to work out how much it costs per print for our average colour and laser printers. What do people set their charges per print at in Papercut etc? Sorry, I know this is vague but I am trying to put together a cost savings to present to SLT for reasons to move to follow me printing and leased MFD's. Thanks in advance

I had a similar issue with shares becoming unavailable - even administrator would get access denied. No problem on desktops and only appeared to affect laptops. After days of head scratching checking DNS etc etc it turns out the offline file store was becoming corrupt, running fixit50561 on the local machine fixed the issue. browsing with servername\sharename wouldn't work but with IP\sharename or FQDN\sharename would. Because the FQDN and IP hadn't been used before, offline files hadn't created the offline store. It maybe something similar for you.
