Yeah, the A380 came in at an awkward time really when the market was starting to shift and fuel efficiency became a bigger priority. Still a very cool aircraft, still get excited spotting them flying over London!

Jeremy Hardy: Comedian and Radio 4 panel star dies aged 57

Very sad indeed. Shocked me too. I have fond memories of listening to The News Quiz and things like that when I was younger and he was a huge part of it -

My worm is currently recovering at home. It was a big weekend...

I do agree. However I just couldn’t get my brain into gear!

Snowdon is a 'bit steep' and there is no McDonalds

It’s funny they mention poor mobile reception. When I climbed Snowdon via the Watkin Path in the summer, the summit was one of the few places in Wales I got a decent signal! -
It’s great, isn’t it? I’m sorely tempted to do this tour again if I get a chance, it was really enjoyable. Aldwych next month, which the tour guides said is always the hardest to get tickets for. Rather excited for that one!

Went on the first of my Hidden London tours yesterday. Getting to see some hidden secrets of Charing Cross was fascinating. The old Jubilee Line platforms were very cool to be down in. And as sad as it sounds, it was really cool to go into the ventilation tunnel and go and look down on the Northern Line platforms all while nobody below knew I was there...

I took 6, passed 5. The one I failed on was something I don’t really touch anyway but I thought I’d give it a go because it wasn’t costing me!

Think the air conditioning dried my throat out yesterday. Slight soreness by the end of the noght

To be honest, I felt like I didn’t do great at grabbing freebies this year but then I didn’t really have a lot of energy to invest in doing it so much this year. Plus I find it to be harder work when it’s just me by myself!

Handy to know coming from South London. Can just get off the Underground slightly early!

If you want extra numbers, I’m not at BETT today but have no plans for this evening. In fact, I’m in the area now

It’s a feature, not a bug...

Looking on the app, that kind of makes sense and tallies up with the location given in the link, so that's good news!

Not an expert by any means, but what about a 360 degree camera? Could record a video tour with one that could be viewed in a VR headset. Sure, it won't be overly flexible but it's a starting point.

Perfect, I'll have to come along and say hi. If this week goes well, I'll definitely have to thank you for the CV help!
-
Hopefully Piers Morgan keeps quiet that day then I think I'll pop in Friday, but not 100% on that yet. Would be great to say hi again!

The location does appear to be on the first page linked in the OP. Finding it though is a whole other matter! Decided to register for this as I'm down in London that week and thought it wouldn't hurt to do some. As someone who's never done any certification like this before, what can I expect from the exams? Also, how does the awards on these work? Are the exams modules for an overarching certificate?

The bag does look nice. Consider this one entry please!

I'm in London that week/weekend, tempted to come along for this!

Been told we’re getting kicked out later than I expected. 2pm! However, just remembered there’s a Dell engineer due in this morning to replace the system board in our VRTX, so I’m now hurrying around turning off all the servers

Yep, still here! Last day of term was Wednesday, so it's been dead the past couple of days. Annoyingly I have to come in Monday too but the caretakers normally turf us out at 12, hence not wasting a precious day of annual leave on it!

We did leftover turkey curry a couple of years back, that was actually quite good!

Usual things to try are resetting NVRAM (hold down cmd, option, P and R until you hear the chime a second time) and the SMC (that’ll depend on the model of Mac - see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295) and I also like to do Safe Boot once to clear out caches on the system drive. That’s done by holding shift while it boots. Will take longer as it check things and loads basic drivers but once it’s at the login window, you can reboot it as normal.
