That statement is there for much the same reason all food packaging says “May contain traces of nuts”. Even though there’s very little chance of it, it’s there to cover themselves should the improbable happen. Nothing is 100% certain.

Hi guys, We've had a problem recently where the permissions on the home folders on our Mac server have become trashed and need to be fixed, adding in each user etc. As we've got over 400 to do, this would take a lot of time doing it all manually, I wondered if anyone had any idea on whether or not this can be scripted to make my life a little easier? Beaten me to it! The central core of the Falcon Heavy is flying much higher and faster than the boosters are so returning to Florida would require a huge amount of fuel (which is extra weight too) in order to have the ∆V available to do it. It's much more efficient for it to slow itself enough to start free falling in the direction of travel.

I’m looking forward to it, mostly because I saw the Red Bull car being designed and built in November when I got a factory tour, so I feel like I have a bit of a link to it now. I usually start the season looking forward to it, but end up tired of it by the end.

We've not had a lot of snow since Wednesday night but we're on the third day of school closures because none of the large amount we had on Wednesday has melted. We've yet to see temperatures higher than -1. Between that and the wind blowing snow onto all the main roads in and out of town, we're sort of just stuck here.

It doesn't matter the cause of the accident, the point is stopping the outcome. Halo wasn't introduced because of the deaths of Jules Bianchi and Maria De Villota, and I don't know if Halo would have saved them but I am sure it would have helped. However, believing it's a non-issue is a complete fallacy. I can name 3 deaths in the past 10 years due to head injuries from being struck by debris or impacts where the head is at risk, which is what Halo is designed to prevent. First was Henry Surtees, back in the Formula 2 championship in 2009 after being struck on the head by a wheel at Brands Hatch. Second, Dan Wheldon in IndyCar in 2011, having his head crushed into the fence pole at speed. Then Justin Wilson, also in IndyCar in 2015, was killed by a rogue car part drifting over the circuit and catching him on the head We only have to look at the close calls we've had in F1 in recent years where cars have skimmed over the low noses of other cars scarily close to drivers' heads to realise that there is a serious issue that needs addressing.

I’ve heard that sometimes this will depend on location. If it is in a place that is obvious and will catch your attention often, I believe they will consider a fix even if it is fewer than the threshold.

At the moment, it's knowing there's people at work looking out for me and wanting to do everything they can to help me out while I'm having a tough time. That, and the fact that I can make everything disappear just for a bit using virtual reality. Without going into hyperbole, it's just nice to have a space, albeit virtual, where nothing outside matters and I can unwind myself for a bit.

This sounds like exactly the same problem I’m facing. I’ve got 25 iMacs currently on 10.9 with a server in place, also in 10.9, all far too reliant on Workgroup Manager because Profile Manager is terrible. I’m going to follow this thread with great interest!
