I'm thinking a switch to World Endurance Championship is on the cards for Alonso. He's been on about Le Mans for a few years now. In fact, I think there may even have been talks last year of him getting a drive with Porsche's LMP1 project.

I'd like to see Jaffa Cakes top the list and watch the entire nation fall into chaos as it's not a biscuit.

Front of an RM Desktop Ecoquiet 300?

Actually, I don't think it'd be quite as bad as you imagine. Yes, a good crosswind will definitely give the car a bit of a shove, but one of the benefits of a broad fin like this is that any yaw is quickly dampened out as the airflow around the car then pushes back on the exposed side of the fin. It's why Le Mans Protoype cars have been running them since 2011, they're very effective at stopping a sliding car from rolling as they were previously prone to doing.

I'm loathed to admit it but I'm actually coming around to the new F1 regulations (I was very sceptical initially because all of it seemed to purely focussed on looks), the cars for the most part look interesting and there's lots of new ideas and interpretations on the aerodynamics side. That and teams are starting to realise that a good livery is appreciated.

Another fan of the Renault. Some very interesting design choices with certain bits of the car too (yes, I'm that sort of person.)

The Williams was a bit underwhelming IMO, but that could be something to do with the terrible quality renders put out. But that Sauber though...

No, definitely not good. As a Miami Dolphins fan, I really, desperately hoped that Atlanta would wipe the smile off the Patriots' faces. All went well until Lady Gaga turned up...

@Al_NetSupport The mug is coming in handy this morning as I cope with only 3 hours of sleep because I was a bit naughty and stayed up to watch the Super Bowl!

For some reason, I want to say Nintendo 64 but I could be completely wrong.

I believe it's called the flight management computer (or FMC for short) for a 747.
-
Now that definitely is off a Boeing 747!

Anyone worked out the theme of the AFK badge this year or have I just not looked properly? I do have one idea.
-
Unsurprising really, they signed up in 2009 under the promise that there'd be a budget cap in place. Instead they had to quickly change their plans to catch up. In some way, it's a miracle we got 7 seasons before they all disappeared.

Great to visit yesterday, wish I had stayed around a bit longer! Thanks for the lanyard and badge!

There is one train now going from Norwich to Liverpool St. About to arrive at Ipswich and we're joining it. We'll be late but at least we'll get it!
-
Just got on my train down to find there's no trains running between here and London due to overhead lines falling down. Looks like I may end up missing my first BETT EDIT: between Witham and Shenfield if anyone's using that route or planning to!

Picking up a travel mug is first thing on mine and my colleague's list for Friday. See you there!
-
Believe it's closed from the 3rd February onwards so it should be open this week. https://tfl.gov.uk/travel-information/improvements-and-projects/custom-house-dlr-station

Got the green light to come on Friday! Although I'm more of a lurker than a poster, I'll definitely have to drop in, would be great to meet people!
-
Might be getting to come along on the Friday for the first time, just got to run it past people first!

Are you using Symantec Endpoint Protection? We've had a thing from RM to say that they're aware of an issue where SEP is stopping Chrome from updating Flash Player. Apparently a fix is being worked on but they're suggesting that you do this to get around it:

My brother has the PS VR, I have the Rift. I have to say, PS VR is a seriously impressive bit of kit. It's comfortable, easy to adjust, manages to fit over my glasses (something the Rift doesn't quite manage) and is incredibly immersive, especially paired with the move controllers. Sure, the resolution isn't as high as the Rift but for most games, it isn't really noticeable. The games are also great, I think my favourite so far are the free ones inside Playroom VR that are designed for interaction with other people in the room playing using the TV. The one thing I will say is not so great is that I struggled to get it in the "sweet spot" where the images are clearest. Could just be my eyesight or my glasses but it is something that takes a bit of adjustment. It's usable, anyway!

Thanks, that's got it! Wouldn't be SIMS if it didn't require some voodoo.
