Sysaid - it's what we use here.

Just a quick note to point out the short notice on this one - I really need to fill the vacancy for the Summer break projects we have, so if you are going to apply, get it in soon! Thanks, ian.

IT office, do you share or have a dedicated room?
Abaddon replied to benjaminstevens93's topic in How do you do....it?
We have two dedicated offices, and are getting a big extension to mine, so that we can all be together in the same place.. the new one will be about twice the size of the other two put together. We are blessed! -
Salary updated to £30,585 to reflect the annual increase in September.

2014 06 Assistant Network Manager Final.pdf Due to a current staff member giving notice, I have the attached vacancy available. The current person is leaving in one month, and we would be looking to start someone as soon as possible to that time. All info is in the pack, but please feel free to contact me for any more information. Thanks.

Me either! At that point though, the job has passed through Papercut and is now in the printers queue isn't it? Therefore, any scripting would be at the print queues, not Papercut?
-
The only place I've seen is under Options - General - Hold/Release queues.. but this is only valid if you have the release station, as you say.

SIMS AD Provisioning... pity me.

Wouldn't touch Fields with a barge pole. Had an horrendous experience with them, and ended up losing hundreds of pounds, and the hard disks & data. Trading standards involved, but pretty much useless. Many stories on the net about these people.

I just want to know how you "cmap" your nads?!

We've had BLOXX for web filtering for many years. No issues, excellent support. Reporting does everything I need, and policies are easy. Latest update is much better than previous versions as well. Recommended.

What is it exactly that you need to achieve?

Configurator does this when you plug them in anyway.. unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to "properly" lock down these PERSONAL devices. Funny that. But, yes - I have 5 boxes of 10 iPads, and we have the same issues as you, day in and day out...

Yes, at present. -
I'm with Smile, and never actually have to talk to them. Was with Halifax many years ago, but the only Xtra they gave me was grief. Smile "just works" - wonderful.

Sorry - missed this. It requires that you login to the machine that you are running utility on with an account that has admin privileges on the remote machine.. I'm really not sure that this is going to work on a workgroup for you. It needs to silently install the VNC client when it contacts the remote machine, hence the need for the admin account. RDC and associated accounts are irrelevant for this utility. You can always have laptops that are on a domain, but not connected all the time - but this seems a bit overkill in terms of work required for you if this is all you need to do..
-
No, but you need to be in the Domain Admins group. (Or at least a group with admin privs on the remote workstation)
-
It's REALLY easy to use.. check the options for a couple of useful ones.. Also, if you have users with multiple screens, you'll want to change the scaling when you connect, otherwise things can be VERY small... you'll see... (or not!).

That was a bit confusing.. the actual download is here, to save you wading through it all: blah Sorry - older link.. this is the latest one 1.8.1 : Netload Serious Filehosting - Netload
