Poor one out for the IT team there.
-
I just got this from their form I submitted online:
-
Yep, I didn't think about this but some students will have completed the test when others haven't started. They will have to issue a new test for BMAT students that haven't been able to take it?
-
Our students have started as I was able to download the test yesterday. I'm just hoping it can upload! From what I understand the test is saved on the machine so can always upload at a later time? (i hope)
-
Phone line is just busy constantly. Guess everyone is having issues.

Glad I found this thread. First time using securepass today and the invigilation screen is not working! Our tests are running fine as I downloaded them yesterday but my invigilation screen is just spinning and not loading. Anyone else getting this?

I imagine it's installed in the same location with the same file names and they are keeping the same version (16) so GPOs and reg keys will stay the same. For example: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\WINWORD.EXE is the location of the exe file so if your shortcuts are referencing this location then the 2019 shortcuts will work.
-
Not tested it by try running the exe on a machine with 2019 installed with this as the reference xml file: Example: setup.exe /configure RemoveOffice2019.xml
-
This is true. We had this come up a couple years back. We have some users that have some basic admin rights for compliance and we found out our 1st line team couldn't reset their passwords. Google confirmed this is intended.
-
I've seen this posted before. I believe the RemoveMSI part of the xml will only remove Office if it was installed via MSI. It's more than likeley you installed Office 2019 via the Click to run installer.

Cant find document in google drive but I can search for it

Sounds like the files might be orphaned. Can you see the file if you type this into search: "is:unorganized owner:me" More info on orphaned files under heading: You can't find something and you don't think that you deleted it -
We mainly use AMC IT A few things are purchased from an Amazon Business account.

The apple ID might be coming from the prepare in Apple Configurator. It will ask you for a username and password but you don't need to fill this in. If you fill this in, then it assigns this iPad to you in your MDM. As others have said, there is no need to release devices if they are already in Apple School Manager. You only really need to use Apple Configurator if you want to setup iPads in bulk.
-
You will also need support from SLT and someone to act as a middle person between IT and Teachers to push teachers to use the tech. Otherwise it will be a big waste and iPads will end up in draws. Other things you may want to think about is the teacher workflows and what apps/cloud services they are going to use such as Teams, Google Meets, Google Classroom etc.
-
The iWorks apps come as default on new iPads. I think if they get wiped they don't appear but you should be able to push them out via your MDM if you get some licenses. They're free so shouldn't be a problem.

If you've added the drivers to MDT via the Out-of-Box Drivers then selecting the option to add storage drivers to your PE will add them in automatically. You need to remember to update your deployment share by right clicking it and selecting Update Deployment Share. This will generate the Windows PE image. You then upload this generated Windows PE image to WDS. The generated PE image should go into your "MDTDeploymentshare/Boot" folder.
-
It sounds like you need to add the storage drivers to your Windows PE image. Check you're adding mass storage drivers to Windows PE. Right click your Deployment share in MDT and go to Properties. Select the Windows PE tab and choose x86 or x64 depending on your environment. There is another tab called Drivers and Patches. What is selected in here?

We had a request to open up google classrooms to people outside of the domain. We allowed it and within the first day a student had created a penny wise account and joined a classroom to post creepy penny wise messages. We quickly removed the user and turned that setting off. We guess it was a student that had seen the join code to the classroom.

Do you use mobility print in Papercut? You should be able to restrict mobileprinting to specific users.

Unable to remove Google work profile on personal Android device
RLR replied to David44's topic in Cloud Services
I came across this issue. Some phones don't allow work profiles to be removed by removing the google account under the accounts section (some phones did so seems android/phone dependent?). There should be an extra option that appears when you install a work profile in settings. On my test phone it was called "Remove Work Profile". This allowed me to remove the work profile.
