Yes for Lotus Smartsuite we got it with an IBM Aptiva at home (got that in 1997 and can still remember the key specs) oh the lovely launcher program with those drawers :-)

It still works for us, our Personnel people love it, and I mean LOVE IT!!!! he did a tweak just for us when we started using it as your year groups where sets as 07, 08 and 09 and not 7, 8 and 9 to make the reports work. I cannot fault it, and we even tweaked the SIMS report to take out training absences that were in wrong place back then. It is an invaluable tool for us.

I was 14 and in Year 09, already making a nuisance of myself on the old RM Nimbus networks, there were about 4 areas in the school with computers but they had 3 different networks. That day when your teacher let you play Worm, Trains and with the Smile Suite was great. And Internet, P'ah in the summer hols they put in the RM CC2.4 network and then my fun really began WWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Sorry to resurect n old thread but I have been experiencing these issues here, Does anyone know if there is a way of scripting/registry edits to force multimedia mode to being enabled. I have the 5.0.90 driver but still having issues and have over 300 of the little rubbish doing them all manually as this is my last ditch attempt before trying to get hold of some 5ghz wireless cards and replacing them

I did get the OUs syncing in the end, was actually the fact I didn't set them up in GAFE first so it didn't make them. And thanks for pointing me at the GAFE version of AppLauncher :-)

Well I am now in a new office (moved in with the techies) and the wall are all very bare. They are all a lovely almost white colour but the only thing on them is the Map of Online Communities from Spring/Summer 2010. I can print A1, A0 and even up to 3 meters long so size is not so much of an issue, I just need some inspiration on what to put up, I like the idea of some lovely abstract tech stuff and some subtle funny references. I just can't seem to find any I like so I though I would tap the collective wisdom and see what the fellow edugeek community suggests. Just have the feeling that I need to get something up on these walls to make it a bit nicer :-)

We do that anyways, looking at moving away from this thing called Altiris we are using and moving to MDT :-) but that is a summer holiday job

I was ready to attack big time. They didn't like it when I pointed out that the Yoga was useless in tablet mode as it kept the trackpad active. Then the line of well if you want a table this isn't really what you need as you don't have the back facing camera which people love. I did want to go, well why have you made them then!

Hiya @geekgirl The handbook for profiles can be found in the documentation link, towards the top right of your homepage in SIMS. In there click on Exams and Assessment and then expand the Performance and Analysis section under handbooks, the last link on the right should be called Managing pull/Student Profiles. Hope that helps

In our community (house) we are all coming in dressed as bond characters (the students chose that one) I am thinking I will get my head freshly shaved and bring in my fluffy cat (and she is really fluffy) and just hold her on my lap and turn around every time some asks me a question (or I may just get a toy cat)

I have done it before, you have to be careful with 2 cycles in the academic year, as it can be a bit fun with some parts of SIMS, but it is much better than what it was :-)

I just don't use Lenovo computers anyways, as they tried to tell me at BETT that the school vision on ICT was completely wrong and had to be changed. Needless to say I walked off before having a repeat of my Pearson Incident from the year before, where I ended up winning after about 45 mins of very stubborn conversations that ended up with 5 of the reps around me at their stand.

I think you need to apply the timetable to your new cycle, I have had this before, everything is there but when you go to lesson monitor, it doesn't show and it is usually this. There is a wizard for this located under Tools > Academic Management > Apply timetable This is because when you have a new cycle or a new academic year, SIMS can see the classes and the timetable but it needs to routine run to make sure the cycle and the classes line up with their times in Lesson Monitor, cover and other items Hope this helps

Ok, I think I have it working, I have email disabled and I have put in GADS (which has synchronised all users) and I have changed my "normal" staff account password and that seemed to have synced up fine. Now silly questions, is there a main "launchpad" where people can log in and choose the app they want, or do they need to go to each separate app address? Also I cannot seem to get my head around the defining students from teachers, am I meant to sync the AD groups there with their email address and the OUs do not seems to have synced with the Google Org Unit I asked it to do (unless I have to create each on of those manually before it goes into them)

Thank you @craigw What I would say is you could move your students mailboxes to 365 and keep the onsite exchange server for staff, I have read documentation about doing that, which could free up space on your exchange server for your staff to utilise :-)
