I'll see the deputy tomorrow and explain that the teacher could delete, or modify childs work. Intentional or not. When SLT instruct me to do something i generally do it as long it's not a ridiculous request. I think i was naive to the think that teachers having write access could used for potentially malicious purposes. Asking for write access for your own class students data and no one else having having read access should have me thinking a little more cautiously.

This has got me a little worried actually. We are a small primary school, a teacher/SLT member recently requested re-working the pupils folder layout, whilst also requesting write access to her class folder where student data is stored, but requesting that other teachers cannot see/view her class folder. Not sure what to do, i might go to the deputy (head unavailable) and explain these changes just in case he/she's unaware. The particular class (Year 6) had poor results last year as well, if that means anything. Not sure if i'm over thinking this or not. What do you guys think?

We are lucky, our LEA uses lightspeed and i can't fault it really.

I did an in place upgrade on my server (Physical, no virtual, does everything, dns, dhcp AD etc..) and did domainprep and forestprep. Upgrade was fine and i had no issues. Although most places i looked said not to do it and that a clean install was better, but honestly it's been fine for me and i've done it to two other servers at different schools since.

83.4 went down, I think that used to resolve as the mail.lancs server? Acted as both DNS and mail server i think. The might have retired the old mail server after moving to O365, maybe they forgot it was being used as DNS as well? Haha. 82.4 is working ok though.

I don't mind the power lifting moves i'll be doing, but the 25 minute bag work and sparring is going to be hellish. I bet Zumba was very much the same! At last it doesn't take too long to warm your muscles and joints in this weather.

With a primary it's very diverse. One day you can be making cables or resetting passwords, the next you can be configuring DNS and AD. The primary will most likely expect you to run the whole show, where as if you join a secondary as a tech, you'll have specific roles and responsibilities.

Too hot. Got a strength and conditioning session in the gym tonight as well. That should be interesting..

Blocking the Google Chrome Dinosaur Game
Patrick replied to BKGarry's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Can't you just add the url to the block list on your filter? -
I did this a while ago, but struggling to remember. Try %USERPROFILE% variable and apply that logon script to the teaching staff group in GP?

Coming off my first loss in MMA i watched the fight video back and identified my issues. A few classes into brazilian jiu jitsu and i feel like a different fighter at my new gym. Taking the loss and becoming better for it!

Yes down the line, but right now i'm getting to grips with AC and just gonna get the ipads up and running so the kids can use them in class. It's new school i've taken on and the network is a mess so VPP is on a long list.

Ok, what am i doing wrong... 1) supervised one ipad, added apps, set up how i want etc, and then backed it up 2) create blueprint for wifi etc 3)apply backup to other ipads - this is where it goes wrong I get a pop up on ipad screens about "trust this computer" and the backup doesn't seem to apply, no apps and ipads are in OOBE style screen. Am i going in the complete wrong direction? First time with AC.

Fitness gurus, lend me yer brains: Punchbags, stands and gloves.
Patrick replied to Garacesh's topic in General Chat
Any RDX stuff of Amazon will do you for gloves and wraps and the like. I have a few things off them, good price and decent gear really. -
Our 50mb connection is falling on it's rear end with the lightpseed servers on the LEA end throwing errors. Shame the school doesn't have a TV anymore.

Can't help you with freestanding bags and such, but don't cheap out on gloves. NEVER use the free ones you get with a bag, and don't be afraid to wrap your hands. When you just get started learn to throw simple light combos first (jab, cross, hook). Don't be tempted to start smacking the living **** out of the bag, as you'll end hurting your hand if your technique is off. -
Had various fiestas in the past and had been very reliable. Worth looking at if you can find one within your budget/mileage etc.

yeah even tea affects my sleep too, probably give it a miss. My sleep is poor at the moment anyway. Gonna try that ZMA from bulk powders, Supposed to do wonders for your sleep.

Never tried pre-workout, i train at night, so I don't want to be up hoovering the house at 3:55AM. Does it keep you hyper for long?
