I think I had the same code due to the last supported drivers for some old Konica machines running on Windows 10. Has it only started happening since moving to W10, or has anything been changed on the print server? Does it occur with the same printers or..?

Hiya Few things: Have you checked Event Viewer for GPP related errors? Is it happening to many users on the same machine, ie it happens even though the driver has already installed from another user? Also, a stab in the dark but have you tried setting the GPP as Replace? That was my way around a similar issue.

Preferences on spec, manufacturer etc? Been going directly to Dell of late, usually the best pricing.

How do. Recently got a batch of Lenovo V110 laptops and flashed with W10. With the few using the Realtek 8821ae Wi-Fi card the Wi-Fi all works fine except for connecting to the GPO-defined network.. untilthe card is deleted from Device Manager and added again with Scan For Hardware (no change in drivers). I'm yet to find out if it'll reappear when they're out in the field, but has anyone else experienced this? Anything to stick in our SCCM OSD task to take away this interaction would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cheers for that mate but still no joy. It's made the licensing information appear correctly in the info now but still got the error.
-
The one I've got here is straight v 3.0.0 build 48 too, though the reg fix sounds promising! Let me know how you get on when you have the time. Thanks

Cheers for getting back to us mate. Bad news on Immersive.. I've tried all compatibility options but no joy. Are you running Vista or 7? I'm on 7 with DirectX 11. These machines ran Kar2ouche on the previous install of 7 but I didn't roll it out so don't know what steps they went through.
-
Does anyone know if Immersive have gone bust or otherwise? Neither the phone number or email address are working If that's the case does anyone have the replacement .exe anywhere I could grab? Thanks

I'm going to give this a wee bump - any ideas? It's a strange one which I still can't figure out. Only a re-image seems to get shot of it which definitely isn't the answer.

Hi @ChrisMoore - apologies for the delay in response, the notification was lost in the mass of unread mail post-holiday. I've been looking around at our setup and asked the office staff a few questions. It seems our system is completely independent of SIMS. Staff manually add the students into ID Manager, then bioupdate into Impact. The photos are then exported from Impact to use in SIMS.. seems like we're a bit backwards here and doing things manually which shouldn't have to be done. ID Manager -> BioStoreUpdate -> Impact -> SIMS What exactly would need to be done to sync the data and photograph from SIMS into ID Manager? I've seen Groupcall knocking around, but what is the recommended approach? Thanks!
-
Wow.. they like messing about don't they, Cunninghams? All installs seem to be different. There was talk of Impact syncing with SIMS but like so many things it never came to fruition. We've been using exportphotos.exe -which is a GUI yes, very similar to biostoreupdate.exe - and copying to a staff area which is then incorporated into SIMS, so Impact is the source of photos rather than SIMS.. Seems your app is for someone with the reverse to my problem, typically Thanks so far though!

This may be long dead but just verifying the above tip works a treat. Had to sort out the same thing as manually running bioupdate was becoming tedious - that /C switch is just what I needed to know. For some reason Cunninghams seemed incapable of getting the task to work themselves. They also wanted to charge call out for installing ID Manager on additional machines when it was all a simple MSI and pointing to the licenses.

Using OptiPlex 360's here and things are working fine with video - just using the Intel G33/G31 chipset drivers. The only trouble I'm having is with audio, in another post (http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-7/72504-buzzing-lag-when-audio-interrupted-win7-dell-optiplex-360-a.html) though this is only some of a few hundred machines, bizarre.

I'm giving this a bump in the vain hope someone can help me...

Morning I'm getting totally stumped with this one and hope someone out there has any more ideas.. Whenever there is any stream of audio (Youtube/mp3/presentation embedded sound) interrupted before the clip has finished, there is a 3-4 second buzz of that particular millisecond of audio.. This only seems to be happening on certain machines despite the fact they're all the same model. I can't see any differences in drivers or settings between the faultless and 'faulted' machines. I managed to discover it's temporarily fixed by restarting Audiosrv but as soon as the machine is logged off (not even restarted) it's back to square one. I've tried using updated drivers, rolling back drivers, deleting the entries for the card and multimedia controller to no avail as once the machine is logged out of that particular session the problem comes back. I've also recently compared the audio codecs between 2 machines and they're identical.. It's bizarre problem for me as I'm not sure what else I can look at.. Any ideas? Cheers

Hardly ambiguous. Everyone seemed to get surprisingly mental over just bad reading. Stomachs rumbling?

Sorry about the delay. It's actually Opera that's playing up now you've mentioned it, just internal pages and network only. Is there a fix around it? I would prefer Opera out of personal choice, but if not I guess I'll have to leave it. Thanks in advance.

Afternoon. I've recently purchased (on the advice of Ric_ - good call!) an HTC Touch Pro 2 with WinMo 6.5. All's good in the world til I attempt to use in-school wireless. I've set a proxy on My Work Network and set the WiFi to use the work connection. I can connect and browse the school website and other internals but no bloomin' outside world. If only the browsers had individual proxy settings I think this may work, but alas - I'm at a loose end. Any help much appreciated, have a nice weekend everybody. Andyx

I ended up taking the plunge with Voda and their Touch Pro 2. Managed to wangle a small business package too, with extra minutes, free landline calls and quarter price insurance for the same cost! Cool phone too, cheers for your help.

I've prepared myself to not expect miracles with regard to the connectivity, I'm only after surfing and what not myself. My main issue is trying to get a contract with a qwerty phone - my thumbs don't agree with touchscreen. I can manage dialling, but attempting text is far too long winded. I'm waiting for Ric_ to fill me in on his contract details , I think the Touch Pro2 is the one for me if I can find a reasonable package anywhere.
-
Who is your provider? I can't seem to find any packages with this phone anywhere... I hate phone related stuff.

Hi all I'm contemplating getting a new contract phone with HSPDA and support to be used as a modem on the move (and to be free from the constraints of filters etc if need be at work). I've seen a couple of OK deals, but I am near clueless when it comes to phones unfortunately. The best I found was the LG Arena with t-mobile giving a 7.2mbit/s, though this and all other contracts seem to have tight data caps and all sorts - things I'd like to avoid. So any recommendations? I'd prefer a phone where I don't have to be constrained to *just* a touch screen, though it's browsing and data capabilities I'm most bothered by. Like I said, I'm not too hot on phones so any advice would be fantastic. Cheers.
