Adobe Creative Cloud & Intune Deployment
cheekycharly replied to cheekycharly's topic in Educational Software
Yeh so your script is chucking out the latest Creative Cloud Desktop App only looking at that. I guess your students are 1:1 usage and install the applications they need as and when? Ours are all shared devices and it is a PRU so it kind of has to work first time or the App be there otherwise the laptop will end up smashed up. Just creating the package again and trying that before I give up. -

Having a mare just pushing out Adobe Acrobat. It could be my install code if someone with smarter eyes than me can take a look or compare it with their deployment. -
Cheers mavhc currently just using A1 licensing with Enterprise Mobility+ Security A5. Maybe it just needs a 365 A3/A5 License assigning and then it will change for the users?

Sanity Check For Enterprise E3 Licensing
cheekycharly replied to cheekycharly's topic in Licensing Questions
Thanks both, we have a less than 80 pupils on the register as we are a PRU and the staff network is a separate entity run by the council. From reading that I would only need to but 2 365 A5 Licenses and would have two staff licenses and 80 pupils. Have I read that correct? -
Hi, I was just looking into Printix and ran a free trial and it seems you have to keep a machine turned on at site 24/7 for this to work 100%. Have you tried the program and found the same or did you work around it.

Had a look this morning and couldnt find an ISO for Windows 10 Pro Educational. The windows 10 Pro licenses we have on the laptops will be Retail OEM as they came embedded by the manufacture (HP) not sure if the Educational Pro is a volume license version or not. Checked our old Volume licensing portal but couldn't see that software available. How did you get hold of the installer as I am keen to try it after trying plain Educational and having no such luck. Many Thanks

Adobe Creative Cloud & Intune Deployment
cheekycharly replied to cheekycharly's topic in Educational Software
That explains why last night when I left it uploading the 7.5GB adobe package I came in to find it had failed the upload this morning. The fact the package was so large also made me think EUURGGHH. This is what brought me to asking if people do it as separates. I guess once the first user has logged onto a laptop the software is installed and any other users can jump straight onto it on their logins without going through the reinstall in the background again. -
Adobe Creative Cloud & Intune Deployment

Shared laptops for us so I could do with the basic Acrobat, Photoshop, Dreamweaver being installed on first sign in and when kids login the applications are there ready to sign into with the Azure AD login so there is no waiting for downloads. Still running a Pi$$ Poor 45Mbps copper line here while I test azure. -
Hi folks im wondering how you deploy Adobe through Intune do you create a package with all applications in it and push that out which could end up quite large or do you create a deployment package for each individual application? Thanks,
-
Ahh right so I can likely download the Windows 10 pro edu spin that up and get the background features. Will give it a try in the morning as that sounds promising.

Any one know what Windows 10 or Windows 11 Edu licensing roughly costs. All our laptops were bought with PRO licensing but I noticed when doing Intune policies that you cannot change the logon picture and desktop background without being on Edu version of Windows. I guess there are other features I haven't discovered yet. Cheers gang!

Multi-Factor Authentication - Enabled Check
cheekycharly replied to Bankesy's topic in Cloud Services
From reading your reply it seems you make multiple different policies and assign them to the specific groups to make this work. I will need to set it up so there is no MFA prompt for pupils to I will be exempting the IP's of the schools and the same for staff but staff are allowed to access the system externally as long as they MFA. -

So am I reading this correct you guys have multiple policies in place pointing at groups? I envisioned I would just have two policies... 1 "Pupil Conditional Access" (Users Pupils group included, excluded any tenant admins and staff, Conditions>Locations 3 School IP's Excluded and everywhere else blocked) 2 "Staff Conditional Access" (Users Staff group included, excluded any tenant admins and pupils, Conditions>Locations 3 School IP's Excluded and anywhere else in the UK allowed as long as they have 2FA when external) with the settings all within those two policies. If anyone is able to show some screen grabs that would be great or point me in the direction I need to go to make those above style policies. -
Hi all, I set off testing some policies on the full blown Intune Portal then discovered the Education portal. I since went back to my full Intune Portal and removed the user access from the policies so nobody was getting them. I then went back to the Education portal and created a policy under the group "Pupils" using the wizard. After logging in as a pupil I think that the policies are coming from full Intune Portal still as the tweaks I have made on the Educational one don't relate to the end user experience and under the policy it shows "0" on devices. I logged on as an admin and ran a sync but no change. Any ideas how I turn one off to try the other etc. Thanks in advance all. CC

Is it showing dirty? -
After doubting myself this afternoon Enterprise Mobility + Security A3 does include Azure AD Premium P1
-
I seriously hope not as I'm looking at Enterprise Mobility + Security E3 and not 365 A3 licensing. It's the difference of about £1.59 to £5.30
-
Ahh, I was going to link the Apple account to Intune and manage it that way.
-
What are the DEP registered devices? Just noticed the £266 is for the 9th Gen so 10th Gen is the current model so that will be the reason the price is higher.
