Creative cloud was then installed as administrator and selected which applications. Then we just have a sticker on the laptop that says which one it is and the teacher knows the passwords. Seems to work for us in a non Azure environment.

I had similar issues recently and resolved it on the two machines by taking them off the domain and re-joining. Seems they weren't getting the policy properly.

Thanks for the replies guys. They currently have an offsite backup service which we need to migrate away from hence the looking around. It is a physical server which does Windows Image Backup everynight and then a cloud backup later on. Im looking at Wasabi currently and then started looking at Idrive. Idrives website seems a bit "offer, offer, offer" but does state 50% off for education use making it $400 a year for 2.5TB of storage. Anyone used or heard of Idrive?

Hi all, I was reading a previous thread on here regarding some cloud backup providers and could see a lot of talk on Wasabi. My scenario is different in that I am not looking to backup VM's just raw data from 3 DC/FS servers at 3sites. It would be a bonus if the backup solution also could do system image backup but that's not the main reason for it. What providers of cloud backup would suit a site where the data backup is likely to be like the following... Site 1 - 800GB Site 2 - 500GB Site 3 - 500GB I would need space for a decent retention period say 3months+ Any advise is always appreciated! Thanks.

The idea is that if a user was to search for any of the Suicide keywords that it re-directs you to another page offering help. Is it even something that I can roll out via GPO on a Windows 2012 Standard server? Thanks in advance as always. CC

I used the download provided by FN-GM which I then converted to an XML via the web. I looked at the code from the download provided by gtg3 and saw that it also made changes to Chrome and Adobe so didnt use that one. Is this the one you used and just removed the chrome and adobe lines in the registry key?

How did you set the file association. When I set the XML file to run in a test OU I find a picture in the pupils photo's folder and on first click it says what program would you like to open this with instead of just opening with Windows Photo Viewer.

Having a fight with it at all schools that I visit. Considering selling them a broadband package and using the CLEO filtering like they used to and bombing off the BT Lancashire setup upon renewal. Im onsite at a school where the MESH wifi system is being blocked and cannot check in with the server making the Wifi down across the school all it can do is local traffic. Yes money will be an issue and getting these children to login with a separate ID into Adobe is impossible unless its a generic login that works on the whole class. Trouble with the cloud version is I think its a yearly fee to keep it running am i right? And what they were running before Adobe Photoshop Elements (DVD Based Install) Adobe Flash (DVD Based Install) Adobe Dreamweaver (DVD Based Install) would let them install on multiple machines in the ICT suite and work fine.

Hi we are looking at purchasing Adobe Premier video editing software for our school but do not know if Adobe do any school licensing like M$ do. Has anyone here bought licenses from Adobe and know the right way to do it. Thanks, CC

Zoho desk is what we use and it works a treat and costs nothing and easy for people to use and access.

Hi all, been a few years since I looked at Volume licensing and I require a new Office Pro Plus 2016 mak key for use within the school. Can someone please tell me the best way of purchasing this as it wasn't myself who used to order it. Looking at our EOpen volume licensing login we used to have 76 MAK Office 2013 Pro Plus 2013 keys but it says all 76 are used which I know is not right as we don't even have half that amount in computers. We are back on local install and haven't had problems since. I spoke with UK and US support who had no answers to the issue and denied it existed and blamed all the hardware which was brand new.

Hi does anyone know of a policy to lock the desktop down i.e. stop pupils in an ou from saving to the desktop and also stop them from renaming desktop icons or sending them to deleted items. Thanks in advance.

Software support from Lexia could never come up with an answer so we are still running it as local install on the client machines. I haven't tried it since my post date though so don't know if it is now resolved on the newer versions of Cloud Lexia but I don't get the time to do testing.

Hi all we recently migrated over to Lexia web based from the original local install. Since we moved over we are having major issues using the software. Once logged in as a student we find the speech doesn't always play and is somewhat delayed by up-to 20-30 seconds and clicking on words objects sometimes just doesn't register leaving the children infuriated. I have logged in with my Administrator log in and the software works fine! so it seems to only be on a students login that the issue occurs. Our Fibre speed is very good so its not a bandwidth issue and i have added all the url Lexia gave me to the Lightspeed proxy. Anyone got any ideas its really bugging me and the students. Thanks

I have used this at other schools with success but haven't rolled this out at this school. Last time it was added to the local group policy of a batch of small netbook a at a school that were loading up too quick and network connectivity being the last thing it would load. That fix worked then. Can this be applied by GP from the server? The wireless ap's are set to the 2.4Ghz range at present.

Hi guys one school I visit keep having repeat issues in classes getting all the laptops to connect to the Internet. For example there may be 30 laptops all at the same time firing up and wanting a connection but some fail to grab it. We at first thought it was down to the Netgear Access points so we swapped them all out for D-Link DAP-2360's and all was ok when we asked the teachers at first but they are now again reporting that not all laptops are getting a connection. Any thoughts or ideas guys as I only get 2hours a week there and this is becoming a nightmare. Thanks in advance. CC
