  1. Using Intune in our shared environment and removed the shared pc mode options as this causes more headaches than its worth. Without this, logon is seamless and has all the software required and auto configured OneDrive and other application on boot. Just takes a lot of time and policy creation and once it is all in place your golden.
  2. Hi folks, does anyone know how to disable the Windows Security icon from the bottom right corner using Intune. We have Sophos AV but I noticed Windows Security icon still appears and leaves pupils able to fiddle with things.
  3. Is your environment Windows 10 and my test one 11? Cant see a reason why it is failing.
  4. That look like yours IT_JB? I get an error.
  5. If that works JB I will owe you big time. Going to try it now... I read this article before and thought I'd found the fix so wiped another laptop and provisioned it with the school setup with shared mode but no joy... Configuring Shared PC mode with OneDrive sync enabled and configured – All about Microsoft Intune (petervanderwoude.nl)
  6. No this setup is going to be fully AAD with Endpoint Manager and A3 logins. HOPEFULLY No on prem Hybrid sync.
  7. I wouldn't think you have missed anything in Azure. Endpoint Manager / Intune would be more likely where to look if you were full cloud. I guess your policies are still kicked out by an on prem server via GPO?
  8. Is it an Azure/Intune environment Dave?
  9. Any of you experts to this topic?. I have spent two weeks wondering why OneDrive fails to run on my test environment and only just realised that its when I make a custom provisioning package using Setup School PC's application and enable Shared PC mode that this all goes TU and OneDrive stops functioning. We don't have many needs for our system setup just that the shared devices get logged into and at that point OneDrive moves local storage to cloud storage. The provisioning package enabled us to have sign on background and desktop background as well as pre defined domain name all ready for use hence why I was trying to setup using this config. When I create those settings on Intune to push out the background and desktop wallpaper and domain name nothing ever changes. Our base OS is Windows 10/11 Pro and we pay for 365 A3 licensing which upgrades the OS upon login to Windows Enterprise. Any ideas how I get over this hurdle as its driving me insane!!!
  10. Any of you expert veterans to this topic still about on this forum. I have spent two weeks with this issue on my test environment and only just realised that its when I make a custom provisioning package using Setup School PC's application and enable Shared PC mode that this all goes TU and OneDrive stops functioning. 11. That sounds like a policy forcing it to end or something in a provisioning package stopping it.
  12. Worked it out, I was trying too hard! All I needed to do was go back to a base Windows 10/11 Pro and it would auto auth as Enterprise then. Sorry to disturb.
  13. Hi I have just got some E3 licensing which when applied shows that a user has a license to use Windows 10/11 Enterprise. I have downloaded W10/11 Enterprise editions and flattened two laptops and installed the OS. I now insert my provisioning package which fails on both (but works on pro and edu). I then manually setup the the OS but after setup and logging in as users that have that license in 365 it says still 90days evaluation in the corner. Windows says Activated in "SYSTEM" but even after a restart the watermark remains. Has it activated the Pro key built in the laptop and will after 90days downgrade? Unsure on the E3/A3 365 process and would love some guidance. Thanks
  14. Once the software is installed on the machine for me you can log off and on as another user and simply log in and use the software. I find no students stuck installing/downloading as I have already done it on the machines prior to them using it. I am using named user licenses linked to Federated accounts on O365.
  15. Subbed! I will have a watch as I have just bought an A3 license to test deploying the office 365 suite via intune so shared pupils can log on/off and access it on laptops.
  16. Hi guys this must be a real simple one but I cannot find the option and I'm going cross eyed looking. Does anyone know where I can disable the Windows Security icon within Intune the one that resides in the bottom right of the taskbar. We have Sophos installed and the built in App is just annoying. Thanks
  17. So I think I have pinpointed the issue down to the Intune Management Extension not installing on Windows 11 devices after enrollment. Windows 10 get this application fine. I double checked Windows 11 to see if this application is somehow native in the newer OS but the service is not there. Anyone know why it might not be giving that application out when the device is enrolled and compliant and ready for service.
  18. No I signed in with itadmin so our admin level login for azure then logged on as a Teacher then logged on as a pupil but all three logins sit idle and never start downloading. On the laptop in question under Work and school and Info (Heading towards the sync button) it does now say "Some app have failed to install" then the words "DownloadFailed" next to the first ID number. My Intune admin centre on the other hand is still showing "Waiting for install status" next to SophosSetup.exe. Appears it has got stuck on this job twice and nothing else attempts to try installing. Wiped another laptop and put Windows 11 on it and the same thing happens. Removed all the Azure users on a Windows 10 laptop and logged in and they started setting up as they should so the config should work unless there is some huge difference between Intune configuration policies on Windows 10/11.
  19. Ok, so I bombed off "Intune education" and created all the policies in the "Intune admin centre". When I log on with Windows 10, OneDrive starts setting its folders up, then any software that isn't on the system starts downloading so Sophos, Cloud Drive Mapper, Creative Cloud, Printix. All works great so I wiped a laptop and stuck windows 11 Professional on it to see how that behaved and its not doing anything to be fair. I join the Windows 11 Pro laptop to Azure and restart. I then log on as an admin expecting the basics like Sophos (Pushed to all users) to start downloading and OneDrive to connect but nothing. Intune admin centre just says under the "Windows devices" and "Managed Apps" "Waiting for install status" and stays on this forever. I checked the activity log on the laptop and no alert to say its acknowledged its installing an app. All my Configuration Profiles in Intune say "Platform: Windows 10 and later" Any ideas what its playing at?
  20. Thanks Steve, and would the 240 licenses just appear in the tenant alongside the 6 Staff ones I paid for? (I guess you have to buy minimum 5 Quantity for the SBL's to appear) I guess what I'm saying is... Does this product my provider is offering me "Microsoft 365 A5 for faculty (Annual Pre-Paid) *12 month NCE* Office 365 A5, Enterprise Security E5, Window 10 Education E5, and Minecraft: Education Edition." Offer the ability for me to receive SBL licenses in my tenant if I order 5+ of them.
  21. Right i'm more confused than ever now. We have roughly 80 pupils that will need a license and we have about 5-6 staff that will need a license. What is it I need to get to allow me in the tenant to apply an E3/A3 or E5/A5 licenses to everyone. We don't have many staff using the pupils network as they all have a separate network run by another organisation. The article I was reading was... [h=3]Who qualifies as an EQU?[/h] If an employee or contractor needs access to products or features from the M365 A3 or A5 suites to do their job, they are counted as an EQU. Student workers are not counted as EQUs and are covered by Student Benefit Licenses. I read that as you buy the applicable number of licenses for EQU's and benefit from +40 SBL's per EQU.
  22. If I purchase one of these licenses "Microsoft 365 A5 for faculty (Annual Pre-Paid) *12 month NCE* Office 365 A5, Enterprise Security E5, Window 10 Education E5, and Minecraft: Education Edition. Will I get this one Faculty license appear in the tenant and 40 other licenses that I can use for the students?
  23. I switched the command back to setup.exe --silent the way I had it and re-packaged and uploaded the file. Came in this morning to find it had synced about 45mins after I left the office which was good news. my commands read the same as yours MYK-IT so that is definitely the correct way. Thanks for your input as it confirms I'm doing it correct.
  24. Hi Buzzard just going through the same pain currently. Having issues getting the first one to push out and successfully install. I would say creating the separate packages is the way to go as you can then update individual app's to the newest versions as and when.
