  1. Just emailed my application, hopefully it'll be there within the < 2 hours left as original deadline was stated as 4:30. I was intending to print it out and deliver it by hand as that way I could be sure that there was no differences in word processor setups that'd alter the layout and that it would definitely be there on time.
  2. Depends what you want to do with it but Xvnc might be a better bet, seems to be the only VNC version which will use the display :0 ie the display that is coming out of the Pi, rather than another instance of a display. Basically if you want to remotely control the session on another screen ( connected to the RasPi ) with VNC then most implementations of VNC are not suitable.
  3. Excellent, I'd put a hose in the hole and a bite valve in the other end, then stand it on a shelf above me. Having to stop typing to drink is so 20th Century
  4. I'm intrested in going too
  5. Yep At a couple of times I got over a million bonus points, on quite a few occassions I got 125 bounces, per seperate shot, but never above, hence me thinking it might be a limit within the code.
  6. 1st attempt Score 553174 Bounces 972 Accidents 3 Several bonuses and highest amount of bounces I noticed was 125 a (few times so may be a limit) Slightly wacky in that with several shots left it was showing 8million and something so may even be a 10million highscor rollover
  7. I believe the charge they are using is one of driving with an unsecured load.
  8. It was some time ago I did this but if memory serves I associated the file extention it used to run it to a link to the servername and path. The only rules I can see I used were allows for \librarydotnet$\bin\* and \MLS.NET\bin\*
  9. Pickled cockroach.
  10. I always liked the C12's "sonar" ringtone.
  11. I'm the same Glen. I finally got some information out of them today, apparently out ICT dept are saying, for their version, that they are allowed acess to spell check, as well as the internet.
  12. Glad that worked as I did overhear our ICT dept talking about having to do controlled assements, so that was what set me thinking about how to do it. They haven't actually asked if it's possible yet though, which I guess is par for the course
  13. Unfortunately this scenario seems all too farmiliar 10 Ask user what they want 20 Get wrong answer from user 30 Promise them what they asked for but will take time 40 Do something else
  14. You used to be able to buy bottles of rectified ethyl alcohol in East Germany on the way back from West Berlin, can't remember if it was 98 or 99% by volume.

    April Fools

Our most sucessful printer ones so far are "Plumb Jam" Which has caught out 2 ICT teachers till we explained it's the plumbing for the ink and "Out of Cake" which refers to the toner cake, obviously, but which colour? by the time they get back to read that it says "White Toner Low or "Clear Toner Low"
  17. I beleive ( from reading their support site stuff ) the validate function takes it to here http://www.capitasolus.co.uk/CESAddress/ Dont' know what code/security details are passed back and forth to work it though. We had a similar issue a couple of weeks ago that then suddenly started working again, nothing we'd changed here, it apparently broke again ( according to our datamanager ) who's not git back to me about it this morning.
  18. I was visiting a friend the other day who's both a musician and games programmer. Although he likes Win7 for a lot of things he's gone back to WinXP for his music recording and manipulations. According to him, apparently[1] Win7 will not let you assign a single IRQ to the soundcard so it's in a polling timeshare situation, whereas with XP you can dedicate an IRQ to just the soundcard. Oh and for his help a free plug for him DeathBoy Copying Beware there may be more than a few rude words on any given page, so I chose one I specially previewed to link to. [1] there maybe some way of doing it he hasn't discovered yet
  19. I think you need to ask your head what they are trying to acheive with this, as it looks like they are giving you a lot of work to do but it would be a so easy to circumvent it's probably pointless. If it's to secure data the staff could just upload to the internet ( or a local intranet share) and download on a different machine and from there dump to a USB device ( let alone possibly burn straight to CD/DVD from the laptop )
  20. Or the Blood And Roses version, Track 1 Side 2 Blog Archive Blood And Roses – Audiodrome Records – 1985
  21. Editing done using a non ferrous blade, to cut down on magnetic inteferrence. Tape loops done by cutting out and editing the ends together then threading round a strategicaly placed chair leg to maintain tension, hence the name loops.
  22. Remove foot from accelerator, it's not needed anymore. Use knee to control steering wheel, this frees hands up. Use hands to search through pockets for Mobile phone. Call IT Helpdesk as car has a computer in it so it's their problem.
  23. Cricklewood's finest, the Rolls Razor. [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolls_Razor]Rolls Razor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] Seeing as I shave almost randomly, maybe a couple of days in a row, maybe once a week and then again I might not for a month or 2. I've only ever found straight razors can deal with that sort of a regime till I found the Rolls. Though to be fair nowaydays if I do leave it 2 months I tend to trim it before a proper shave.

    Sims over VPN

Agreed that greatly helps it. I aslo found that using the UNC computer name for the SIMS server wherever possible ( eg editing the local Connect.ini ) helped me. Especially when the userer needed to use NovaT. This may have been because were CC3 and the S: drive is mapped at machine level, if your doing it a diferent way that you might be OK with that stage
  25. For you piece of mind I suggest a search on passwords, encryption and recovery thereof, as I've a vague memory of the ecryption algorythm having somewthing to do with the password hash and a change of password by an administrator ( rather than the user which IIRC re-encrypts them ) may have unwanted effects. I think the logic behind it is that if a file is encrypted and the person wants to change their password it's reasonable that they want to still see the files but if they are sensitive enough to be encrypted then it's unreasonable of them to be able to be read by someone else ( albeit an administrator ) changing the password and having access to them that way. Might be best to set up a temp user account and do it with that, to be sure your system does actually behave the way you expect/want it to, just to be sure.
