Hi There, We have a problem with a HP Officejet 6000 printing labels. The layout on the screen looks fine, the settings for the label sizes are fine. When the print comes out containing a page of address labels; the address is more and more further up the page each time which leaves the top two rows of labels fitting fine, but as they go further and further down the page, there is less of a gap between the above address each time. Sorry I couldn't be more straight forward and to the point with the issue, but has anybody seen this before that could help with the issue?? Thanks Oliver.

When copying an image from google images and trying to paste it into word I get the error The graphics filter was unable to convert this file, with then a path to what I assume is the clipboard. The image being copied is a .jpg and isn't a large image (below 500x500). The PC is running XP and office 2000/XP

Hello everyone, I have been asked this morning if it is possible to disable the spell checker in Microsoft Word. There is a student soon to sit her SATS but has a damaged hand and needs to use a laptop. The SAT requirements state that spelling and grammar checks need to be disabled. I have no idea how to do this however, or even if it is possible!! The version of office being used is XP. The only way I know of is to uninstall Office and have the student use Notepad or Wordpad! Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys, Got a strange one here. I have two network admin installs of Office. One for Office XP and one for Office 2003. And I have a group of .MST transform files for each. In the GPO I have it set to install Office XP via Pro.msi with the XP_STD.mst - everything except access and outlook. The GPO also is set to install Office 2003 via its Pro.msi with the publisher.mst - only install publisher 2003 files. The XP.mst is set to remove all previous office installations and then install all features locally for the requried XP components The publisher 2003 is set to remove none of the previous office installations, and remove all previous publisher installations. It is set to make other components of office 2003 not available and to install locally all components of Publisher. Hopefully that made sense. Heres whats happening. Publisher 2003 is installing fine but none of the Office XP components are installing. Are the 2003 settings overwriting the XP settings in GPO? I've checked the contents of the two .mst files and they look fine. I've also checked GPO and the .mst files are applied to the appropriate packages. In another OU, the same Office XP Pro.msi + XP_STD.mst installs correctly but there are no Office 2003 installs in that GPO. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Hello. We are running CC3 and this particular issue is Office XP. One of the teachers is using Word's Webpage wizard to create a webpage. The default location to save it is the N drive, but at the end when it tries to create the page it throws back an error that the N drive is read only and that it needs to be saved elsewhere. I logged on as System Admin and the exact same thing happens, but if I go back to the start of the wizard and change the save to place to a shared area then it's fine. It made me think it was a permission thing, but how can it be? I looked at the permissions on the Sysadmin's N drive and they're the same as the shared area. Any ideas? I hope this makes sense! Thanks

When I open a document in Word 2003 and later, after edits try to save it, it states there is already a document of that name and offers to save it with another filename. I've searched for some sort of setting to make it behave normally without any luck. Advice appreciated.

We have recently created a new position fo "Head of Pre Prep" and and email account preprephead@... to go along with it. This account has to be redirected to both the Head and the Pre Prep secretary. No problems there - account created, mailbox set up, Outlook rule configured to redirect all incoming mail to both staff. However, I need a way of highlighting these emails in the recipient's inbox (so that they stand apart from "normal" emails). I was hoping I could use Automatic Formatting in Outlook, but this won't work as there's no way of distinguishing if Mrs Jones sent it directly to the staff concerned, rather than to the preprephead account. I also tried adding something into the Outlook rule, but you can't mix server-side (redirection) and client-side (categories, importance etc.) rules. Is there a straightforward way of doing this? I know Office XP is hideously out of date now (we are, slowly, rolling out 2010) but I hope that it's possible.

We have the Office 2007/2010 compatibility update installed site-wide, and this works fine on all except one computer. Generally, when you open a xlsx file, Excel launches and then says it is converting the file, which then opens; on this one computer, however, a dialog box appears before Excel opens saying it is converting, and Excel then launches with the spreadsheet open but called X000001.xls [Read-Only], which is saved in a local temp file somewhere. Any ideas? I've tried re-installing the compatibility update, and even re-installed Office, but without success.

We've got some XP Clients with Publisher 2000. When students use print screen, then paste, a Publisher message appears: "There is not enough memory to display a picture. Some pictures may display incompletely or not at all. To make more memory available, save your work and close other programs; then try again." The place-holders are there for the picture, but it's blank. The machines have 3GB RAM. All the office service packs are installed. I encountered this problem some years ago and seem to recall there was a registry tweak. We can't find anything on the mighty Google. Users can paste into Word, then copy and paste in to Publisher as a workaround. So it's something with Publisher.

Would anyone know how to macro a condition in Excel 2000. Current have a spreadsheet with around 4000 rows, 3 columns. "Pickface"; "Pickface Group"; "Sequence" Is there anyway to check if cell value in Pickface, is the same as Pickface Group and if it is, mark it in some way, and if cell value in Pickface is not the same as Pickface Group mark it in some way as well?

Going to get the kids to create some powerpoints for me to display and I want to schedule them to start at the begiinging of the daty and finish when they finish. Is there a command line option so that the presentation will loop continuously once started and then what command could I use to stop the presentation? Using PowerPoint XP version.

Hi Just arrived home to find my wife has 'lost' a Word file she had just about finished for a course module - many hours worth. She was working and the lot started to delete, the way she describes it it sounds like the backspace key stuck down. Unfortunately she CTRL/ALT/Del to escape and then saved the file. Trouble is she saved it (a) with the original file name and (b) with less than 1 line of text left.......... Is there any way to recover the work without her retying the lot from scratch?? Using : XP, Office 2000 (must upgrade!). Autorecover info not available as she apparently saved and quit 'correctly'.... I have FileRestore application installed but it cannot find anything worthwhile...... Any help/advice appreciated.
