I'd be looking at Dell, their newer Latitudes look quite nice now and if you go with the Pro Support warranties their support is fantastic. Yes excercise helps earlier in the evening, even a walk for half an hour if you aren't sporty. Also the last half an hour to an hour before going to bed, turn all screens off, so no TV, computers, mobile etc. Listen to some calming music, read a book (as long as its not too exciting), have a bath, basically relax and try to take your mind off into a different zone so its not thinking about the troubles of the day. Make sure your bedroom is a calm and quiet zone as well, no computers/gadgets in there to distract you and if you have a clock then turn it away from you so you're not clock watching. I'd also recommend getting off the ecigs, but that will make things worse short term.

Your LEA are wrong here and are actually in breach of EU competition law, they have no right to force you to use them for support as that is regarded as anti-competitive. You can continue to use the licence from them and source your support for it from anywhere you choose. Even if the you have signed a multi year deal for support from the LEA, you could still negotiate an opt out or even buy in support alongside the LEA support contract and use that instead of the LEA one, which might actually work out cheaper than re-purchasing SIMS.

That is true if you used pure distilled water, but you're using tap or bottled water which contains loads of other stuff as well. Re-boiling removes more of the gases in the tap water, including oxygen, which you want for tea. That's not a big problem apart from taste, the bigger concern is that re-boiling increases the concentration of nitrates, fluoride and arsenic, which you really don't want to happen.

But that's the right thing to do, should never re-boil water, especially if making tea.

Couple of thoughts: Could there be a way of stripping hyperlinks from posts of new users either for say their first 5 posts, or until they've been approved by a mod? This would certainly help prevent accidentally clicking on a spam link. On another forum I use, the spam report button can only be activated once, so once one member has reported it then others can't. This saves time as once it's reported everyone knows so don't waste time re-reporting it, plus the mods only have one report to deal with. Other than that, for a big site moderated voluntarily I think you do a brilliant job

None whatsoever, does the computer get a network connection from both sockets on the economiser?

We have HP Procurve switches and use those splitters in a number of places, they work best for us just leaving them on auto negotiate. If you are going to set the switch to manual settings, make sure you set the printer and computer to manual rather than auto.
