You can increase the number above 500 too so that you can get as much out of the cartridge as you need to. I think I increased mine to about 2000 although a couple have reached this limit, the colour cartridges tend to need to be replaced before then.

I found when playing with mine if I got an access denied page I had to close the browser down and load it back up to start browsing again, but haven't had time to look in more detail at it yet.

Hi all, At some point in the past there must have been problems with a couple of computers in an IT suite and whoever sorted them seems to have used an (assumed) Volume Licence disk to reinstall windows rather then the recovery partition. The recovery partition is still on the hard disk and after spending a couple of hours I managed to boot into it and run a restore which solved the immediate problem, however I something somewhere still isn't quite right. While I now have a fully working computer and undoing the little tweaks manually made to get into the recovery partition, I had hoped it would restore the MBR to allow me back into the recovery partition using the key combination, but it isn't the case. The only way I can get back into it was by altering the partition table. Anyone have any suggestions on how I could possibly get the keyboard shortcut working again? I've attempted to clone the MBR from another machine but don't know if I've got several duff utilities or it's something else which deals with the restore command. Thanks!

Ahhhh good to know and thank god for an update all button! Was going to try and update last night but then google had pulled the download file for some reason so will hold off to the weekend. Any other nifty features in it?

Thanks guys, didn't know if I was missing something or not. So in brief summary so far, not a huge ammount and nothing that I could really justify an extra £200 for at the present time.

Hi all Quick query really. Looking to try and get some switches replaced if I can squirell away enough of my budget and was wondering if anyone can point out the blaringly obvious (and subtle differences) between the Procurve 2510 and 2610 switches other then approx. £200? I'd probably try and go for a 48 port for the area I'm thinking of, any opinions/advice?

Was just wondering if anyone had updated to Android 2.2 yet, seeing how it's now possible to manually update to it, or whether anyone had received it by an OTA update? Thinking I'll probably wait for the OTA like last time, hoever might get a little impatient and try it depending on how things go. Quite looking forward to see if the speed increase is as good as they say.

Still haven't cracked software deployment
Cache replied to Little-Miss's topic in Learning Network Manager
It's a while ago now, but when I was playing with deploying a new version of flash, I actually had to run an admin install of the msi to extract the actual msi that would let me deploy it. Not 100% sure why. So on your flash msi run msiexec (msipath) /a, hop through the wizard and choose somewhere to extract the files to then try deploying the MSI that has been extracted and see if that makes any difference. -
I think when we had this, the only way to solve it was a server restart. Whether restarting the SQL services will achieve the same result or not I don't know.

Have a look at Capita Education Support Services - provides the release notes and Capita's recommended way of updating using the ESS Upgrade Utillity now.

If I remember rightly (and have no way of checking now, sorry) if you insert the installation cd in your computer you should get the option to install the management client only which should let you manage it. It should be the exact same application as on the server, except you choose which server to connect to and give it the login details to manage it.

What I've started doing in mine is set a status as Recycled (or disposed or whatever) and then deleted the item. As long as you don't then purge it I **think** it should stay in the database as a deleted item (otherwise I might find I've got a few items to put back into it)

Fancy coming to do ours now?

I'm feeling really thick at the moment. Whenever I try to bring the service menu up, it just cycles through the options for keystone and source, doesn't bring up a service menu. No other connections apart from power plugged in. Anyone point me to what I'm doing wrong? Edit: Never mind, was being thick. Forgot to use my regular steady rhythm.

If I remember rightly (but could be completely wrong) the autoscheduling always starts with a random seed, so everytime you run it, it's likely to come up with a different solution (and so, in some circumstances could fail to timetable things successfully, due to it's random starting point)

WinFF is what I'm using to convert all videos at the moment, especially the pesky ones that powerpoint is extremely picky on. WinFF - Free Video Converter

How much is your school spending on Printer Toner per annum ?
Cache replied to 10101010's topic in How do you do....it?
Just over 6k this last year - about 80 staff, 420 pupils, 50 printers. Doing a lot of work with suppliers and looking at print management at the moment. -
I did try updating the driver yesterday but that made no difference. It's not that long ago since I did reimage it. I'll see if I can wrestle it back and try it again.

I hate computers some times. So after a mad day, I final got to have another look at the laptop, tried plugging straight into a normal monitor today and it still won't display a picture externally. Should I now assume that it's the card/port on the laptop or am I still missing something? Thanks for the replies.

ooops, guess nobody did a Quick Letter today then..... Will be fun when they notice. Guess I better see if it's still on my memory pen.

Tried a standard VGA lead I had lying around in the spare laptop bag I took up, which worked fine on the spare laptop but still has the same problem of Not Supported on the laptop that is normally connected to it.

Hi all! Could someone put me out of my misery please and tell me what I am missing with this damn problem. We have a Dell laptop connected up to an Epson projector which was working fine earlier in the morning (because I went up to test it) but has now stopped displaying any image. All that appears on the Screen is: Not Supported H: 48.35KHz V: 31.70KHz I've tried a different cable on the laptop but it has the same problem, but another laptop works fine so it's obviously something wrong with this laptop. Have tried changing the resolution, colour depth and increasing the refresh rate but had no luck. And other ideas? Thanks!
