You couldn't expand on the mount shared drives bit could you? Does this mean a moodle user could browse a resource folder on one of our local, non moodle running, servers?

I have been playing for a while with Moodle 2.0. I have upgraded a copy of our 1.9 installation with no problems. I have also created a brand new install as a demo fro some Primary school in our region who might be looking for an alternative. After all the playing I can't find any "features" that I can sell to staff. Can anyone think of any selling points?

When I install the theme, I can never go back to another theme, as the theme selector page becomes blank! I take it that this isn't a feature and wondered if anyone else has had this problem? thanks

How did you play with the css? Did you use a web editing tool to visualise the changes or a css tool? Thanks

I'm sure that avionics techs wouldn't call them bulbs. They always used to tell me off for that. They called them lamps.

Last thing I heard on radio 5, the bulbs were worth that much. They are not ordinary bulbs after all.

A few people have suggested BE to me now. I think I'll take a look at them.

This malware tells the user “Warning! Your’re in danger! Your computer is infected with spyware!” including the spelling mistake. I know of three computers in the last three days that have had this. The London stock exchange website has been helping to spread it... I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned HESK Help Desk Software HESK - a free PHP help desk which is free, is pretty straightforward to set up and has a really good interface.

In the end I disabled the netlogon service on the problematic server. Any machines with issues I just Took off the domain and rejoined.

Hi All, My local authorities support team were helping us last week with a sysvol synch issue between our two domain controllers. One of them is still not synching but they are still working on it, thanks guys. The problem I have however at the moment is that some clients are trying to authenticate against the broken server. Is there a way to make sure all clients authenticate against the working server? Thanks

What did you do?

I'm not completely understanding what your problem is but... We have used the rename function in the past with no problems. It just went ahead and called the machine whatever it was called in fog and then rebooted it with the new name. That then showed up in AD. We now use a sysprep that doesn't join the domain and let fog both rename the machine and then join it to the network.

Do your staff/users like the reporting a problem side of it? Do they need to log in to report a problem?

So, do you guys use the spiceworks helpdesk?
