I have disabled our antivirus and the issue still happens. I have seen people say its related to network drivers but they are up to date

I am wrapping my brains with it. Unreal !

All the latest updates have been installed, Cannot get my head around it. Its just the system process using ridiculous amounts of CPU. Any other ways to troubleshoot it ?

Really thinking about rolling back to 2008 R2.

Thanks guys , I've setup mic teaming on the hosts. I have had some advice to plug the hosts straight into the San and not through a switch. What are your thoughts ?
-
Cheers I'll take a Look ! Appreciate your help

Could I do some sort of Mic teaming to create a 2g connection ?
-
Yea only when creating fixed vhds. And currently copying 100gb from a physical to the vhd and that's maxing the iscsi connection out . Cheers

Hi All, I have just started to virtualize our environment. Our setup consists of the following Dell Ps6100x SAN 2 HOSTS with 4 NICS HP 1GB Switch I have got 7 viirtual machines running and they seem to be running fine. The ISCSI connection on each host uses hardly anything most of the time. However when i create a new VHD or Copy data onto a VM the ISCSI connection seems to max out. Each host has 4 1GB NICS and the SAN has 2x 4 1gb NICS. Currently the hosts are setup with 1 NIC dedicated to Domain traffic and 1 NIC dedicated to ISCSI traffic. Is there anything i can do to stop this from happening or anyway of increasing the ISCSI bandwidth? NIC Teaming or some sort of load balancing ? Cheers Guys

Email sent ! Hopefully not too late ! -
Just tried using the above tool and i get an error processing the folder. Any other tools i could use. The home directory permissions are a complete mess. I cant get into some user areas without giving admins permissions first ! They are all set not to inherit permissions too. Could someone give me a tool to correct this and what are the correct settings that should be setup on the user share and directories. Thanks

We run osticket. Great ticket system! We have IT SUPPORT and SITE STAFF setup as different departments. Staff find it really easy as it's just an email to submit a ticket. Easy to setup http://osticket.com

It doesnt seem to be working setting it to follow the documents folder. The event log says that it is successful but when i create something new in My videos it isnt displayed in the user area
-
What are the correct permissions to have set to your users directory?
-
Just realized that my documents is working but nothing else is, My videos or pictures. In the event log on the machine i am seeing "Successfully applied policy and redirected folder Videos. But my videos isnt redirected. I create something in videos and it doesnt show in the user area? This has all seemed to stop working since i migrated our file server. Would this have anything to do with share permissions or permissions at all?

I am currently looking into this has anyone put this in place? How does it work ? -
Thanks for all of your help guys. Using the server path instead of %HOMESHARE% seems to be working at the moment so i will keep my eye on it. Thanks
-
The problem we have is we have one Gpo serving multiple year groups , so different intake years. I suppose the only way around this is splitting the Gpo ?
-
Think I am going to have to use %HOMESHARE%% HOMEPATH% but look at a fix for the my documents rename issue. Any ideas ?
-
When i put %HOMESHARE%%HOMEPATH%\Documents into the file explorer bar it cannot find the path as it works out to \\server\users\username\\Documents i have tried: %HOMESHARE%%HOMEPATH%Documents which doesnt work also %HOMESHARE%%HOMEPATH%My Documents also didnt work finally %HOMESHARE%\Documents which didnt work either Thanks
-
Yes that works but renames all the user areas to " My Documents" Cheers
-
yeah that works fine, But then i have the Docuemts rename issue. Any ideas? Thanks for your help
-
Cheers, I now have the Docuements Redirection pointing to %HOMESHARE%\Documents. still not working with nothing in the event log on the machine. Surely somewhere there will be an error stored? Thanks

those Reg keys have just removed my documents and pictures from start menu
