ok heres an update have just gone into the bios and its displaying 2GB then rebooted and windows Now See 2GB yippeee lol thanks for all your help guys

bios is showing 2048mb installed

if you are reading the thread properly you would know that no1 im only upgrading from 1GB to 2GB and no2 that there is 1 slot on the board not 2

dude arent you listening, I said windows 7 starter edition CAN take a 2GB module for which I have and its in but the OS is only showing 1GB installed, fella read the thread properly no hacks are needed!!

its simple really fella the netbook is stating there is 1GB of ram installed when there is a 2GB stick fitted:confused:

lol ive left the network query a while ago bud im more worried about the netbook not seeing 2GB and reporting 1GB

So the saga continues , I buy a 2GB DDR2 SODIMM the right spec PC2-6400 as I know most stuff needs this to run and its showing as 1GB installed I have reseated the module took the battery out rebooted a few times but nope still showing 1GB installed not 2GB , so any ideas on this one guys.
