this is driving me up the wall. we still use the RM F Series computers and I am problems with the 2000-256 model with the realtek ac 97 sound card. the front microphone on about 20 of these computers refuses to record any audio from our microphones. the front headphone socket works so i'm sure the front audio card cant be the problem. the rear microphone socket works fine after fiddling with the volume control i have tried the following: different OS, Ubuntu; still cant get front mic to record audio used both audacity and windows sound recorder to try to record sound and nothing wiping windows and problem still exists updating sound driver all the affected computers are the same computer specification 2ghz celeron processor 256 ram AOpen MX46-533V Motheboard Realtek Ac97 Motherboard was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same problem?

having numerous problems with the cc3 build process namely sound drivers missing when rebuilding pcs and software problems with out of date sound drivers - really want a more efficient and faster process.

I've been looking into this recently and really like the look of the product and from the posts I have Can someone advice me on which product to choose for a school environment? Will the product work with a cc3 network? i'm more interested in the inventory and power management features. Can i use the product to deploy windows xp images and update drivers easily? Our environment is a mixed domain, one cc3 domain and one vanilla domain supporting in total 400 desktops/laptops and 1200 users.

Hello, just looking for some advice really I'm looking to move on out of education and I have been looking for jobs for the last couple of months. It's been remarked by a few agencies that my lack of experience in a commercial/enterprise environment will have stopped a lot of agencies/employers from even considering my CV. To me, I can see the differences between a education environment and a commercial/enterprise environment and feel I can explain the similarities and how a situation in a commercial environment can be adapted education environment etc I was just wondering if anyone else has had experience of this? My IT support experience is all education relater with 1 year at University and 3.5 years in my current role.

do you have a video games console at home? I've tried just dance on the wii that was pretty good, no mats but you use the wii remote to mimic actions the playstation 3 has a dance game coming out soon similar to the wii one above but uses the playstation move motion control, the game is called singstar dance fyi

@hightower did you manage to fix this in the end? im in a similar situation smartclienting a windows xp sp3 pc the sp3 machines are in a different container to the sp2 images the pc smartclients fine then a couple reboots later it sits on the logon screen tried to restart and nothing the only way around is run installrm or restart the autoexnt server and i have to do this every single time it reboots

try it on a linux or mac pc; i've had luck accessing usb sticks with that error before in ubuntu and os x
