  1. I have activated cs3 in our gold image and everything works fine as we have a site serial.
  2. Had the same issue with the KB4011039 update on my first day back, block and remove through WSUS fixed our issues here too. If you need to manually do it quickly on a machine you can uninstall the update, check for updates and then hide that particular update so it does not get installed.
  3. We are currently experiencing this wonder if it could be a windows update or and update to my AV. I will contact smart today and see what they say.
  4. We use an analogue system from adata and last 4 years been using qvis IP cameras. Recently moved to dahua as they are compatible with our qvis cameras but the dahua cameras are slightly cheaper. Ended up going for a 64 channel 32tb unit.
  5. Cheers for the reply Akeeba reinjects the sql it just looks like a core part of joomla has become corrupted.
  6. Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience repairing a joomla install? I recently did an upgrade to 3.7.0 and it completely killed my website. Luckly enough i was able to recover using the Akeeba backing plugin. The only problem i have now is that if i click articles and then go to images and links i cannot press the select button next to intro image and full article image... it just does nothing. Unfortunately looking into the code is a bit over my head so i was looking to do a 3.6.5 repair/reinstall. Does anyone know if just copying the 3.6.5 folder to my webserver overwriting the files currently in use would fix it? Thankyou
  7. I had excatly the same issue with Windows 7 and my students. We have SRP setup and i had to unrestrict the following path. "c:\users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp\TempFolder.aaa" which allowed it to run.
  8. We use a lot of hp switches here, I did a firmware upgrade on an HP1820 a few weeks back. If you can go to the IP address of the switch and login via the web interface, my switch had an option to download (and restore) the config. Download config, update firmware worked fine for me. If there was any issues i would have factory reset the switch and then reuploaded my saved config via the web interface.
  9. Just installed a couple of HP 1820 24g J9980A around my school and i'm experiencing some really strange issues. When clients connect to this switch they get a yellow exclamation mark on the network interface saying no internet. The clients also receive no group policy's either. If you browse to a website you get the internet but if you ping 8.8.8.8 it fails... BUT i can ping from the switch and i get a response Reply from 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq=0 time=19135 usec. This is causing issues for me as Avast will fail to get the latest update definitions. I can ping my router and also all my servers so really not sure what is going on and any advice would be great at this stage. I have turned on and off the following features : Jumbo frames, flow control, spanning tree. I have recently update the firmware on the switch to PT.02.01 to see if this would solve any issues but it is still causing problems. 10. just talked to my previous boss who installed the system and he said these are dummy placeholder certificates just to show you where the actual ones have to go. They should not effect anything on the wireless switch.
  11. I have just had this message come up excatly the same as you guys, not sure what the 2 certificates are used for though, anyone got any ideas?

  13. I can really recommend nationwide they supply our school. Support is great too!
  14. I have just had the same error for my current year 7s (in process of removing ranger across the whole system). To fix it if you open up ranger administrator, go to security, groups and then the group you are having issues with. Then select the drives tab and at the very bottom is "Default Open/Save path". If it is set to c:\ but c:\ is an illegal drive this will cause the issue. I changed mine to s:\ as in AD my users are set to use s:\ as their userarea. This fixed the issue and students were able to logon.
  15. I've had same issues before and disk2vhd then I think I used a program called starwind to covert vhd to a vmx file
  16. I bypass all my servers through the exceptions and don't get any issues.
  17. We have it installed on a member server again we upgraded from dirsync and had no issues at all.
  18. Here is a picture
  19. Thanks all for the reply, I have taken the front off and can see 9 drives plus the 2 recovery bays. When I go to the IP of the SAN it says bays 1 and 5 are broken and that I need to insert drives into the recovery bays. The discs come out really easy (just use a screwdriver to push the black latch and it slides out). I've found the drives for about £20 on eBay so might just buy them take out the 2 dead drives and reset the array from scratch. Then theoretically if 2 others die I can use the recovery bay to rebuild... just was asking if anyone had any experience in the past
  20. I have a really old San with 2 dead drives, this is not a production SAN as we have a hp and Intel cluster. I was looking at getting this old SAN working and using it for additional backups. I am very new to this and have managed to access the San via a management console on a laptop. In the Hitachi documentation it says that when a drive fails you need to put a replacement drive in the recovery bay and it will rebuild from there and make the problem drive redundant. When 3 drives fail you need to replace the whole unit... I have no recovery hard drives and was wondering if I replaced these with working ones and factory reset the SAN would it be back to full working order with the option for 2 drives to fail or shall I just write this one off?
  21. I still have my original MSI which I use to send out via GPO, when a new version comes out it auto updates via the management console.
  22. Just a quick question. I currently have an old ISA server which acts as a AD authenticated firewall between my virgin router\smoothwall and my servers which have a public IP. Does anyone know of any up to date ways to achieve this same setup? I basically want users to be presented to enter their network username and passwords before they can pass through to our vle/SharePoint/Sims areas. Open to free or paid solutions so I can retire this old server.
  23. Not sure if you can, all of my caretakers use a single office PC and have to login with their own account each time. Maybe look at 1 general user for that machine and maybe assign jobs to custom category's named as people so they know what jobs belong to who?
  24. I disabled across the school for 30 minutes and yes it fixed the problem. I have just gone through about 70 exceptions and the system seems to be stable but still a high CPU usage.
  25. I went to avast in our school over the last 2 weeks. I have 900 installs, only issue I found was that when everyone logs on at the same time (200 odd users) my user filshare server system process hit 100% and crashed our server. I have put every exception in under the sun, it's stable now but system is hitting 80% anyone got any ideas? Apart from that it's really user friendly. We previously used McAfee.
