  1. @Andycat Any reason you are looking to move away from Druva? We have just signed up.
  2. I ended up having the same issue but did an inplace upgrade to 2025 and this resolved my issue.
  3. Having issues at schools I manage today, great day to do CAT tests seems ok now though minus the admin center/intune being a bit hit and miss.
  4. Possibly software restriction policies if it is a legacy device.
  5. Are you logged in with an account that has install permissions?
  6. We have had an absolute nightmare transferring our Civica Version 8 to the cloud over the summer. We just about have a working solution 4 weeks into term. Very stressful experience to start the term and support who barely acknowledged our requests. Looking at Cunninghams when our contract is up for renewal.
  7. We have also moved to the cloud over the summer holidays, my advise is don't at the moment as it just doesnt work well. Been on hold multiple times a day. multiple tickets not getting answered in a reasonable fashion..
  8. Happens to me at both of my schools and its driving me mad
  9. Take a look into NPS policies. We currently deploy a certifiate to all active directory devices from a AD CS server/GPO, NPS then handles the authentication so they can join onto the SSID automatically. FOr our BYOD devices staff authenticate on the SSID with their AD user/password. NPS can also throw the device into different VLANs for staff/students etc.
  10. Haven't done an inplace before but i have moved veeam servers relativly easily by exporting and re-importing the config, server had same IP address etc. Just make sure you know all your encryption passwords!
  11. I would 100% agree, unfortunatly the pay bracket is out of my control.
  12. Information Services Technician (essexschoolsjobs.co.uk) Happy to answer any questions.
  13. I would be careful it looks like this update is now blocked for some reason or it is for us. Inventry have been great and resolved the issue for us yesterday still struggling to find a fix for go4schools. Error trying to save file: Error downloading "https://inbound.wonde.com/wonde-client-updates-check?update=wyserver.wys&from=2.7.0.0&args=%urlargs%": The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
  14. I have in writing from microsoft that as long as one of your global admin accounts have a P1 licence attached to it this is sufffient and enables conditional access for whitlising your schools public ip address. This means anyone logging into O365 offsite will require to authenticate. Although i did set this up 2 years ago and things might have changed but its still working our end.
  15. Is anyone in the same situation as us where we have some devices that will only work on W10 and only about 30% of our hardware which is compatitble with W11. I was looking to make a W11 image during the summer and upgrade what can be upgraded and then purchase new hardware a little bit at a time to replace the old W10 devices. I have been told that W10 and W11 ADMX templates do not work together, has anyone had a way to overcome this?
  16. Hello, we are having the same issues too. Do you happen to know what "odd ports" needed to be opened? In the guidance at pearson it only tells you to unblock 443 and 8443?
  17. I can cofirm, use diskpart to remove the recovery partition and then you will be able to expand. We had an external supplier setup some servers with 60gb HDDS which soon started to fall over so i had to expand about 5 servers this way.
  18. We just run the client on our login script for all students and staff: start \\servername\PCClient\win\pc-client-local-cache.exe The only issue you have is when the server reboots and clients are logged on, they will need to re-run their login script or log off/back on again.
  19. yes please I would be very interested, currently running a MSM760 controller!
  20. Very interested and have emailed in, looking to move our estate to Intune in 2024.
  21. its very strange that it is trying to install the software everytime the machine reboots, surely if its already installed it should skip it. How are you deploying the software via gpo? Are you using any scripts etc that run every time? We only have office 365 and adobe CS3 pre-installed on our base image, any other rooms have software deployed via gpo and yes you do notice it when the machine first reboots in the correct OU group but apart from that it shouldn't make a difference.
  22. Can confirm that adding in the CC rules our helpdesk is now working again, thankyou!
  23. I would say its far from relaxing but I'm in a signed metal band called "Ghosts Of Atlantis".
  24. We have just purchased some SafeID/Classics, cost around £18 each and are very easy to setup with AzureAD.
