Both myself and my brother purchased Diablo 3 (ps4) over the weekend. Put a few hours into it already and it seems like good fun. Created two characters, one to play coop and one to solo. Last game I completed was Destiny (completing the story counts i suppose?!).

    SIMS

Your SIMS ini won't make a huge amount of different unless you're trying to run Exams, Nova etc.
  3. I've been on my holibobs for the last week (Morocco!) during which i ended up watching a few films. Imitation Game Really good film, thoroughly enjoyed it. Well acted throughout. Definitely worth a watch especially if you aren't already familiar with the story of Alan Turing and what he and his team achieved. Ex-Machina Another cracker. The lead character (can't remember his name) is not great but doesn't detract from the film too much. Plays on some interesting ideas around artificial intelligence and the concept of whether AI can feel human emotions etc (alot of the ideas are actually based on books written by Alan Turing). Fury Ulterly miserable film but i thoroughly enjoyed it. The ending goes a bit too Hollywood for my liking but generally it's a decent movie. Brad Pitt is great in the lead role. Bit of trivia too, the film features the last remaining German Tiger 131 tank!

    SIMS

Easy peasy if you've got the correct SIMS Application Setup. Just run the EXE but change the installation location from the usual (i.e. C:\\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net) to something else (like SIMS .net old). Create the connect.ini within this new folder and point it to your database as normal. Finally, locate and run the Pulsar.exe within this folder to run this version of SIMS.
  5. UPDATES! Still ongoing: Update 15/05/2015 13:20 Testing this morning has revealed that the amended files need to handle the changes in the .net Framework security update, are present in more than one location in SIMS. Other functionality such as Partnership Exchange could be affected if further testing is not carried out. To this end, it is our intention to continue to test, review and amend our solution until we are confident that rolling out this fix to all customers will not impact on other areas of the SIMS suite of software. This will of course delay the possibility of any patch today, but we will update you on Monday with progress made over the weekend. We hope that customers will appreciate this level of testing and checking in light of our lessons learnt in dealing with other recent issues in our products. Update 15/05/2015 09:15 Escalation have written a patch which updates the SIMS .net code so the date picker will no longer cause a crash. This is currently being tested and we hope to make this available to customers as soon as possible. We would like to reiterate that customers can still work around this issue by manually typing the date into the date field, rather than using the calendar control button to pick the date. We apologise for the inconvenience caused, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further enquiries or concerns around this. Update 14/05/2015 11:00 Development and testing is still in process for developing a solution for this issue. This notification will be updated as soon as we have more news.
  6. Don't take it to heart. As you say, sizes vary so much these so you can't take that as an indication of weight loss etc. I know it's different as i'm a bloke but I can't even shop in Hollister or Topman, I'm an XL in Superdry and yet generally a large elsewhere!

  8. Just in case any of you SIMS folks missed this one (we did and have been bombarded with calls about it this morning!). The error occurs whenever you try and use the date picker/calender function within SIMS (Attendance reporting, adding pupils etc etc). [h=1]Microsoft Security Patch causing issues with SIMS7 Date Picker[/h]We have been made aware that after a Microsoft .net Framework Security Patch (3023224) the SIMS .net Date Picker is crashing the SIMS application. 13/05/2015 What does this mean? After the installation of Microsoft Security Patch 3023224 as part of a Windows Update, the SIMS .net Date Picker in many of the SIMS windows crashes the user out of SIMS. Who will be affected? Any computer where SIMS .net is installed and this specific Windows Security Patch has been applied by Windows Update. Who will NOT be affected? Any computer where this Windows Security Patch has NOT been installed, or, has subsequently been uninstalled. How are we fixing this? We are looking into this as a matter of urgency and will update this Hot Topic as soon as we have any further information. Is there a workaround? Yes, at this time users can uninstall Windows Security Patch 3023224. If you have any questions... If you need further advice regarding how this may impact your use of SIMS, please contact the SIMS Service Desk in the first instance. https://myaccount.capita-cs.co.uk/hot-topics/SIMS7-Date-Picker/
  9. I'd certainly recommend a lower number of reps with multiple sets and a given rest time. Here's some general rules of thumb when lifting weights (certainly not set in stone!): Toning (3 - 4 sets of 12 -15 reps, light - moderate weight/resistance with something around 60 - 90 seconds rest in between.). Generally speaking you should feel tired at the end of each set but not failing. This will help 'tighten' the muscle you have etc and the high volume can help with burning calories etc thus losing weight. Hypertrophy i.e. muscle growth/size (hardware upgrade) (3 - 4 sets of 8 - 12 reps, moderate - heavy weight/resistance with 60 - 90 seconds rest. Multiple different exercises per muscle group). Should be difficult, near failure at the end of each set WITHOUT sacrificing form. Strength (firmware upgrade!) (3 - 5 sets of 3 - 5 reps, heavy weight with anything from 90 seconds to 300 seconds rest). Long rests for recovery and max effort on lifts. Training to failure is generally considered counter-productive if strength gaiinnnzzzz are concerned. Hope that helps
  10. So much want!! That looks awesome!
  11. Awesome!!!! Congratulations
  12. Haha what can I say, I like to take stupid selfies when I'm bored.
  13. If we're sharing I suppose it would be rude not too
  14. While I agree the Smith is absolutely useless for squats (and legs in general), i do believe it has it's place. It's good for people really trying to isolate a very particular muscle as it allows you to take the subsidiary muscles out of the equation. This morning was legs (more specifically quads!) for me which consisted of: Squats - Sets of increasing weight and decreasing volume up to a max weight 3 rep squat. Leg Press - Heavy as poss for 6 - 8 reps, 3 - 4 sets Hack Squats - Light weight for volume 10 -12 reps, 3 - 4 sets Calf raises - 4 sets of 20 Absolutely buggered now.
  15. Haha your post wouldn't have been nearly as funny with your little Avatar bouncing along to the crossfitters! Look at him go!!
  16. I got myself some new gym kicks I don't actually do Crossfit (nor do I refer to myself as the A-Train! - My actual name is Alex btw hence A-Train) but I wanted something with a firm-ish heel raise for squats that's still soft enough to use for other workouts etc. The customisation was free so thought why the hell not, the other shoe says 'CHOO CHOO'

    Pebble

On mine I currently have: Misfit - Nice little fitness tracker thing. Doesn't require an app on your phone as it's all self contained. Tracks your steps, calories and amount of sleep. It's free too! Pebble Dialer - Allows you to make calls from your Pebble. I find it useful when I'm out and about with my headphones (handsfree) in. GymSets - My most used app! If you're a gym goer it's awesome. It's a really simple app that allows you to set your rest period timer, click the button after your set and it will start the timer and vibrate once your rest it up. It will also count the number of sets you've done etc. PixelMiner - Nice little game! Not useful in the slightest but really addictive. Lastly, have a look at PebbleBits. It's custom firmware for the Pebble. Since I picked it up i haven't reverted back to the standard stuff. They usually implement really useful features way before Pebble do (such as the quick access etc).
  18. Pretty much the same reason i sold my Canon gear. I absolute love the ergonomics of a big chunky DSLR (they are far superior to any mirrorless in this regard IMO) but it used to drive me mad having to lug it round all the time so i decided to go Mirrorless. The Sony A7 was the clear winner for me as i didn't want to take a step down in regards to image quality and low light performance etc (Full Frame Sensor in teeny tiny Mirrorless body?! What's not to like!). The only real drawbacks are the ergonomics (takes some getting used to) and the relatively limited native lens range (easy to forget about this when you start delving into the world of older Legacy lenses etc!).
  19. Agreed! Fisk is fantastic throughout, he's a great villain. 'That' scene with the Russian is amazing. Generally i think it was well cast and well acted. Bob Gunton as Leland in particular was pretty great. Literally the only one I wasn't a huge fan of initially was Foggy (Elden Henson according to Wiki) but I did eventually warm towards him too.
  20. Really quite good! I binged watched them all over the weekend and enjoyed every minute. Up there as one of the best comic book adaptations in my opinion.
  21. I used to shoot Canon (550D) but made the switch over to a Sony A7 a few months back and I'm absolutely loving it. Sony cameras are great they're just not as popular as the other bunch (mainly due to the lack of optical viewfinder i would imagine!). The best advice I could give is go and have a play with them all. Find the one you feel most comfortable with. Some people like Canon, some Sony and some Nikon. The image quality between all the top manufacturers to so close now it's barely worth considering (unless you're a specialist in Landscapes or Sport etc).
  22. What happened to the magic tractor? It turned into a field...
  23. Just to add another to the list: Photoscape. It's free and has plenty of features (batch editing, GIF creator, RAW conversion etc)
  24. Excellent idea! Not a fan of Tuna or Olives mind so i think i'll give yours a miss I'll suggest Overnight Oats! Not necessarily a recipe but it's something some people may not be aware of. Dead simple, easy and tasty breakfast. Exactly the same as normal Oats except cold and much, much quicker! Shove some oats in a lockable container and pour in your milk/yogurt. Use more milk than you usually would for regular oats. Then simply place in the Fridge before you go to bed. Add extra ingredients in the morning. Peanut Butter and Jam is a good one. Or some Fruit and honey etc. Plenty of ideas can be found here. Enjoy!
  25. Pretty sure it's InTouch. I'm assuming you use InTouch? Test your InTouch Service Setup and see if it fails.
