  1. locked in yes but i have a master key, cant leave the external doors unlocked as anyone could walk in...
  2. back in today.... something knocked out the lan card.. could i get it working?? could i eck!! rebuilding it again today!!

  4. still here, only one left in the building... cs4 really does take ages to install... bunch of kids sat outside the main entrance drinking...

The decision was made that the current ict suites pc's are holding back the students and are having a negative effect on their coursework, which is due in 3 weeks time hence the need for change asap, were getting paid overtime thats not an issue here. all good fun and challenging 85% formatted...
  6. Just taken delivery of 96 new pc's + monitors, im staying on tonight and will be locked in so that i can get the image made and ready, tomorrow im training for my yomp doing 15 miles, then sunday were in all day from 8am to take out the existing 96 and to put in the new 96...

  9. I THINK its WDS interfering as it uses pxe booting aswell, i had the same issue here and turned it off and heypresto fog worked fine...
  10. Hi Folks We need to replace one of our projectors which has become faulty, and as we cant afford a new bracket and reinstall we need as close as a replacement to the origional model as possible due to the specific bracket being used, the projector in question is a panasonic PT-LC76E. thanks

This weekend see us undertake our penultimate team training session, we will be doing an overnight training session leaving okehampton on saturday afternoon we will be heading south finishing in postbrige the following morning, in total we will be covering approx 11miles but the terrain is much more challenging on Dartmoors north moor so it will be a stern test, and i get to try out my new sleeping bag many thanks for the support so far !

  14. depends on what you want to use them for, the processOrs are beefy enough for office/email/intwebby stuff, just dont expect to be running games or encoding videos on them...

I do speak to companies direct, im happy to source the kit im after i then ask my trusted suppliers, yes it can sometimes be time consuming but 9/10 i know what i want and just need a price, a 2 minute email and its done. I dont want to remain annomnous with my suppliers, i like to talk to them by name, build up a rapport and a level of not necessarily trust but an understanding with them, im quite happy to drop suppliers who give me the run around and my suppliers know that, they also know i will go back to them if they keep me happy and they will get alot of buisness through me.
  18. I find this whole idea a bit impersonal to be honest, i prefer to build up a rapport with my suppliers, like simon at cpl and others, the idea of just casting requests out into the wilderness really doesnt appeal to me. We wont be using it just my thoughts

    thanks for you help so far very appreciated managed to get freshclam working but running the virus scan via fog still doesnt work, it still complains that theres no database files found?

    just edited this line #DatabaseMirror db.XY.clamav.net to DatabaseMirror db.uk.clamav.net tried to freshclam and got an error that it cant parse the config file? edit forgot to comment out the EXAMPLE line but were still gettting an error when trying to freshclam? cannot read name.cbd header

    ok just ran yum install *clamav and that went through fine, then i ran *clamav-update and that downloaded and installed fine, i then typed clamscan and i got the error that the database is over 7 days old?? the fog av task reports theres no database files in the usr/local/share/clamav ?
