Hi all for ever and always MAC's have been a no no here, not supported at all... until now, our new head has come in and wanted one.. so weve got a mac book pro and now while a couple of us have used macs noone has ever networked them to any extent! im following these set of instructions (hope its what i need?) 1) From Finder, select Go-->Utilities from the menu 2) Run "Directory Utility" 3) Click the little padlock, and enter a Mac admin's credentials to unlock it 4) Click on "Show Advanced Settings" 5) When the toolbar appears, select "Services" and then select "Active Directory" checkbox 6) Next, select "Directory Servers" from the toolbar, then click the "+" button to add your AD domain server 7) In the top drop-down box "Add a new directory of type," select "Active Directory". 8) Enter the name of your domain (I used FQDN nomenclature as in "mydomain.com"), then enter the username and password of a Domain Admin that is authorized to add computers to the AD directory and click OK 9) In the directory servers list, you should now see your domain with a little green light next to it and the message "This server is responding normally." 10) Now log off. 11) If the Mac is configured to show a list of users at login, select "Other" at the bottom. Enter your domain logon credentials: "mydomain\username" and your password. The machine will pause a minute to create new user folders, and then you're in AND you have access to all of your network shares without entering your name and password again. but stuck straight away at step two?? i dont have a app called directory utility? any help is very much appreciated!

Pen drive will need to be around 8GB in size. If you require any more further assistance please just ask. Will do am still trying to get it to upgrade to xp pro
-
Yeah thats what im trying now, it wouldnt work yesterday for some reason but its going through now. We generally here always format the drives on new laptops and pcs and install a fresh copy of xp pro as they always come with piles of junk software that leaves you with a messy image if you just uninstall them. 9/10 it isnt a problem but with these theres no drivers in the entire universe for them, even with doing a mydrivers it still misses a couple off, plus the software to rotate the screen isnt available anywhere either thanks for the reply

Morning all We have purchased 20+ of these fab little notebooks, however they have come with xp home and a bunch of pre installed software but no driver or program cd's. We need to get these running xp pro without loosing any functionality. Fizzbook Spin | Zoostorm - Zoostorm Fizzbook Spin 8.9" the zoostorm website doesnt have any downloads listed for it and thus far havent replied to my emails. does anyone else have any of these or know where i can download the drivers and most importantly the software that auto rotates the screen? thanks Kev

we had a couple of hours of slushy conditions heavy snow mixed with heavy sleet, plymouth was gridlocked for two hours because of a combination of roadworks on the major route and the weather, 1000's were stuck on the A38 nr exeter due to the weather, 8 hours!!! they were there for, bugger that! anyway woke this morning to not a flake or slush in sight, completely gone! bah!
-
snowing here in plymouth now, started off as rain turing to sleet and now snow, which is settling, very high winds makes it all the more interesting, i bet its rough up on the moors!

From what ive read is that a custom kernal is being made for them, cant seem to find any more info on it yet though, thankfully weve only got 4

Has anyone been able to image these netbooks using fog yet? i either get stuck on a please wait screen or it errors regarding "The third arguments must be a valid regular file...."

Whole of plymouth is shut down, well all but one school, luckily not mine! 1st time in about 15 yrs scince my school was closed due to snow and weve not had this sort of snow for just as long! http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs147.snc3/17443_423264380312_685935312_10338211_5895734_n.jpg
