yar am looking at them now, although theres nothing obvious (i prefer issues with smoke coing out of servers, easier to find the problem!!) I will be restarting the server at 3pm when there will be less disruption, hopefully thatll help

Telnet fails... We have 2 ISA servers one for inbound one for outbound, they are both isa 2003, our internet access is fine, we have no incoming or outgoing external mail, internal mail is fine, our website is also unavailable (http://www.tamarside.co.uk) which is hosted on one of our other servers. All the services seem fine, thanks for the offer ill see how it pans out

have restarted twice today already...

Thanks for the replies so far that resolves fine tracert times out all services are up and running. is this looking more like an isa issue? SWGFL say they have no isses their end so its definatley something here...

Hi guys, got a big problem here, NM is out sick and im left trying to keep things ticking over, however exchange has been playing up, currently internal email is fine but were not recieving any external email. i have very little experience with ezxchange and am after some help please ! what should i be checking? can someone talk me through it please? thanks Kev

Still no joy, i have tried the three latest kernals with and witout the arguemnt line but no use, it still freezes, fyi the lan card is a Realtek RTL 8111B/8111c Gigabyte

where do you set that option? is it the kernal argument in the host edit menu?

yep that worked great thanks, but it didnt resolve my issue, issue being when trying to use ny of the options in the quick menu on boot up the machine just freezes, they will also not work using the single disk resizeable option. frustrating as it works perfect on everyother type of machine ive tested it on, and these ones are top of my list because i have a suite of 88 (yes thats 88) i need to get sorted and up n running. cheers

Ive copied the kernal to the folder and in the host menu ive added the line tftpboot/fog/kernel/Kernel-2.6.29.2.kitchensink is that correct? am i missing any / ? do i need the .kitchensink on the end?

thanks ive downloaded the latest kitchen sink kernal, question is what do i do with it once i have it? is it possible to apply it to a single machine for testing? when editing the host i see the kernal box but not sure what to type in there or where to locate the kernal file?

how do you switch between kernals and where do you get them from?

My personal camera is a Sony a200, fantastic camera and when turning on and off it does a lense shake to clear any dust etc, any dslr is not going to take a drop to the floor and survive intact, but as far as the a200 its very sturdy and robust with a nice comfy rubber grip.

Ok so now everythign is working great, but i have a new question... How can we incorporate new sid in the auto domain process? weve tried looking into sysprep but it fails everytime complaining it couldnt write to the registry. also how can i get clamav to use the authenticated proxy? at the moment i cannot get it to do a virus scan as its unable to download any database files, ideas?

yeah just copied it to a usb stick and put it on my machine... why on earth is there a windows based app in a linux install? where in the wiki does it say to transfer the files to a windows machine? bah! anyway thanks for the help
