Hello edugeek friends. I feel I may have been here before, in a software tidy up. But I'm serious this time!:-D I have a great rightclick picture resizer. It's really handy. Image Resizer for Windows - Lets you resize images by right-clicking. However, they only have an .exe - does anyone know of a similar program (right click) which has an available .msi? Just trying to really tidy up and keep all the policies etc. consistent. Thanks!

Hi Arthur! Did you get anywhere with this by any chance? I've just realised that a few of my new builds are 32 bit and aren't getting the VLC player. (Took me long enough to click!!). No worries if you can't, but I just remembered you said it might be possible? Thanks for the 64 bit version again, it's made things so much easier here!

So for ages we've been buying the Targus remotes. They are a good price and work well. However, once someone loses the USB connector, the handset it useless - it can't be resynched to another remote. I don't mind spending a bit more if it means they can be resynched. Because I have a collection of handsets and USBs on my desk which are all useless. Any ideas? Thanks

Does anyone have a recommendation for a phone voice amplifier? We have a member of staff who is very softly spoken (not an option for her to simply be louder for various reasons). Just need something to help her be heard on the phone! Thanks

Thanks @mitchell1981 The problem seems to have progressed somewhat now though. Noone can connect to our website from outside the organisation - also no mail is coming in at all now. It is going out - but anyone who tries to mail in immediately gets undelivered. We can browse the web etc. So outgoing seems fine - I'm really stuck!!

For a majority of people who use outlook here, they are getting the 'Trying to Connect...' in the bottom info bar - which interchanges with 'disconnected'. Mine is working - I'm using 2016 and they are 2013 I think. Any ideas? It's not really my area of expertise! These people can, however, connect to their mail through Office 365.

They all look okay, but I'll get the motherboard removed and check the solders not cracked.

It just gets stranger! I've put in a newly installed harddrive, I've changed the power supply and I've set the bios to defaults. It's still doing it! I just can't imagine what it could be?! It's an older machine and I'm tempted to just scrap it - but my stubborn nature wants to figure this out first haha!

So I downloaded a VLC .msi from these guys; VLC Player v2.2.0 MSI Installers Released - TechyGeeksHome (hope it's okay to post a link?) who looked fairly okay. Somewhere hidden in that .msi though is system message of some kind. It keeps trying to take over the PC to open their blog etc. Anyway, basically, does anyone know where I can get a clean .msi for VLC? Thanks.

No it's definitely 'shutting down' and booting from scratch. It's so strange. Edit: just looked again. It's 'shutting down' within about 3 seconds of clicking shut down. It is a pretty old computer however it does have an SSD in it. It still seems pretty fast though?

Odd problem here. When I shut down this Windows 7 PC, it goes off for about 2 or 3 seconds before coming back on again. Shut down time is INCREDIBLY fast. Any ideas? Thanks.

In fact, I might just sign up for Adobe Creative Cloud - I am a student so it's only £15.99 a month I think - people swear by photoshop for photos - is their video stuff as good?

So this is a personal question. I need to edit some videos. I'm not a pro at this (or clearly I'd already have the software!) but it is something I'm interested in learning a lot more about. I don't mind paying for the right piece of software, but want to make sure it's a good one first. I use Windows 10. What would you recommend as something which reaches a professional level whilst being well enough known to have plenty of webpages of tutorials etc.? Thanks
