[android] Disable Facebook location
SimpleSi replied to SimpleSi's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
I need the GPS most of the time for my speed limit app so it would be inconvienent to sort it that way. And its more to do with the fact that Mr Z has gone to considerable effort to hide and stop (certainly 'droid) users from doing this Si -
Does anyone know how to disable Facebook from posting location (and wasting time switching on GPS to do so!) from a 'droid? Si

If its the subject that I think we are not allowed to talk about then its OK to talk about net man salary in lancs as that job role has been equal pay reviewed so they are all the same so discussing it is just social comment as its a fixed fact and not down to the school anymore Si

:sob: :sob: Netbooks have increased IT availability 2-3 fold in my primaries and they could buy many more for same money and the battery life means they can be used in every lesson if needed. if anyone in the industry reads stuff here - WE NEED LAPTOPS WITH BATTERY CAPACITY TO LAST ALL DAY THAT DON'T COST £600!! - JUST MAKE A £300 ONE AND CHARGE £20 MORE AND STICK ONE IN!!!!!! Si

It just depends on their sales plan when you phone. MY advice is to say you are leaving and when you get put through to the leaving dept then negoiate - but you have to be prepared to walk to somewhere else if they are not able to wheel and deal at the time. Si

Too late to do it this year(for real) but how about a virtual one. So, maximum cost £10 (not inc p&p). You find the best/funniest/most useful/most useless present a geek would want (no NSFW please) you can find online and post the url here and then we'll have a quick vote next week on the top ones. Maximum of two entries per geek (in case you find a better one later ) Si

...can I recommend PremierMan (I know they are not a sponsor ) I decided I could do with a new shirt for the Christmas season and decided to risk getting a 4XL instead of the 5XL. When it came - we could have have fitted me and both members of the Edugeek management at the same time (apart from the lack of sleeves ) So, I ordered the 3XL and that would have gone round me and James! So, I'm down to 2XL And they genuinely having a sale - you can get some smart work trousers (in the shorter leg length) for £7! Si
