Its not the lack of tech support - its the lack of accountability of head teachers who are basically judge, jury and executioner (or in financial terms customer, buyer and CFO!) It they had support from the local secondary - would they use it - would they heck - they don't need ANYONE telling them what to do in THEIR school Heads can spend £50,000/annum on ICT or a new roof or 3 extra teachers or 5 extra TAs - basically whatever they believe will give the best learning improvement/$. No real accountability as they have no real boss. More primaries on panorama as there are more primaries Simon

Needed to logon to my dropbox account via the web and it made me change my password - said I'd had it for too long and then had the cheek to say that my 9 symbol password was weak!!! But it hasn't affected any of my currently logged in sessions (I use it across all my school servers) but just a heads up to everyone (unless I've been caught out my some clever ManinMiddle password attack!) Unfortunately it is the one machine I setup for the admin network with sims etc on it so its unique Once I got it working at 10mbs I told it do do a driver update which it did but still same issue Simon

Bought 28 desktops over hols (Fujitsu Win7 64 pro with realtek PCIe GBE on-board) and one of them just started disconecting and connecting 1/sec I shifted it from admin to curric network - same behaviour Booted it off my linux Redobackup CD and it found the network fine but back in windows I've had to tell it to run at 10Mbs to get it to ackle! I see some chatter on Google but not sure if is some sort of gloabl issue of not - anyone else had this? Or got a better "cure" Simon

When I was liitle, you only needed RCDs to feed electricty to certain areas (like outside or anywhere where water was present) Have things changed? If not, get the RCD dumped and just put in straight forward MCB (minature circuit breaker) as that will be very cost effective The other problem can be that lets say your kit takes 30 amps and breaker is 32amps so your on the edge but get away with it until some little event occurs (mains dip followed by 40A surge for instance) Simon
