I have a lovely Wordpress App on my 'droid with nice easy big buttons and dead easy to use to make a post. Got a school going on trip away this weekend so setup a wordpress blog, got them an ipad, downloaded the Wordpress App ... and its absolute pants!!!!!!!!! Or have I missed something somewhere!!!! IF not, is there a free app that';; do the job i.e. give to teacher , teacher launches app, sees easy-peasy screen, presses button, types words, takes pic, presses post, end-of Simon

I LOVE EDUGEEK!!!!! As you all know, I'm getting old and past it and my memory isn't what it used to be! So, I was recycling the laptop I used for this purpose (new head doesn't want it running!) and I couldn't understand how it kept on going back to running IE every few minutes! I looked everywhere in startup and then I cam back here - found my old thread - found the old solution and went into shed tasks and deleted it Edugeek has now completely replaced that part of by brain used for remembering things @ZH - can you zip up a copy for me as a backup please? 100MB is a bottleneck????? We get 10MBs in my schools if we are lucky! For orig problem I install Dropbox on server - create folders for each teacher and then let them save/load to it at home/school and just restrict access to it in school to their class computers My main problem is trying to get Headteachers to pay for >2GB who don't see any need for it (as they don't have a headteacher on their back saying where's the planning) and they can have full remote access to their machines via CLEO provided SGD for free

Now legally, I'm not sure about the ground that John stands on but I FULLY support the sentiments expressed by him and I'm still upset at the number of teachers that simply don't care about who the owner was/is as long as they can print out shiny pictures. Welcome All jobs in different places are different Best advice is to turn up, try and do your best at whatever's asked of you even if its way below your abilitiy or way above you ability. Some techs at some schools are treated like outside contractors and some techs at some schools are treated like close famiily. Remember that the teachers are in a high pressure job and just want/need things doing at very little notice - try to do it (at least in 1st week) Simon PS Good Luck- we are here (nearly 24/7)

I switched to Chrome last year from Firefox as I found Firefox too memory hungry and slow. Today (following some advice) I downloaded latest FF and switched back WOW :-) Actually WOW :-) Makes Chrome seem Neanderthal when it comes to mem usage and speed :-) Simon PS I'm on XP - maybe not so noticeable on 7 but great for me!

I tried using UStream for a chickcam and it didn't work - setup fine, seems to work but just got sound with no video when trying to watch it back. Now, I didn't expect it to work as I expected CLEO to be blocking something but am I fooling myself - should it work - anyone in CLEO land ever got it going? regards Simon
