Really like the look of this. Just wondering if the iWatch or whatever will offer the same type of features. Im a self confessed apple fan boi but as I have ios devices it would make sense to have something that integrates into the iOS system. Especially the new health system in ios8.

Windows Server 2012 R2 Domain Controllers
XiJ replied to jamiehill1231's topic in Windows Server 2012
The only problem with replication ice had is when joining with a 2003 DC. But it's normally just a case of tinkering around with the various functional roles Etc- 3 replies

One of our schools just opted out of notts - and went with school broadband. It's fair to say the road hasn't been smooth - but by far the biggest pain has been notts and In particular e-mail transfer. From what I've heard, that's not unique to the school we support on the notts area.

Fibre Broadband - My line speed just jumped from 1.5Mbps to over 30Mbps
XiJ replied to flyinghaggis's topic in General Chat
That's a massive leap - must be great. I remember going from 56k to 512k - lightning fast!! Just moved I to a new build and it seems to be 4.5 miles (or was it km) from the exchange. Fibre would why me approx 10mb down - barely faster than my old adsl2 connection. Luckily (!) Virgin media cable up the entire house and I hey get all their services...... Apart from there's a blockage underground between house and cabinet on the new estate - so I've been waiting 6 weeks, have a date of July 9th now. Considering betting my mortgage I won't have internet then either.... -
Got to say we've had terrible issue with speed and some filtering issues - I hope we are finding a resolution to them. Dave seems a good guy and I'm really hoping we can get past these teething problems.

I only really run it at home with 7-8 clients and not all at once. Never had an issue though on a single band wireless router and a gigabit network. My server runs on windows OS. But there are mac and Linux versions. Clients on most devices or web browser.

I use Plex mainly at home btw. But I know there are people on here who have used it in schools.

Plex Alternatively people like xbmc (which Plex was forked from) personally I love the server / client architecture of Plex - and it tends to just work.

I like revolution - although I'm not surprised it did. Alcatraz was better than touch but that got a 2nd season. Vegas was cancelled too. For shame Why don't they give these things time to grow?

Office for Mac is included in EES and Mac OS X is a qualifying OS for an 'upgrade' Are you sure you'll not want access to those?

The early A series models did suffer from this and I've seen one with it. I believe the were pulled from the market for a while - though nothing official. Just that supply became severely constrained. Not sure if it was a heat issue - I think I recall reading that they'd redesigned / beefed up the fan/cooling. The M series are thicker with better fan / airflow.

MALdanado is a fool I loved the mechanics reaction to his crash into the pit entry barrier. Good Quali overall today.

Similar (bit smaller) on Fujitsu's we've supplied. I don't like it at all. However it's always been fine on my mac - and on the 'magic trackpad' I have for my iMac.

I originally went (plastic) MacBook in 2007 because I felt it would last better than a similar PC laptop. It's still going actually and nothing has fallen off! My last 2 MacBook pro's are just fantastic. I love the solid aluminium that they are carved from. I've not come across anything like that is terms of rigidness.

Introduced a win2k12 R12 DC to a wi 2k3 domain for the first time last week and it went just great - can't believe how easy it was. New (VM) server has had all fsmo roles moved to it. I intend to wipe and re-install the old DC - probably with win 2k8 so I have some redundancy / backup. I followed a few guides from a Microsoft bod in Canada I think it was. Very straight forward.

The sound is different - but so what? People combined from v10 to v8 and probably when we lost v12 too. Love the racing so far and the fact that we have cars that all look different and have innovative designs. As well as the efficiency / energy recovery. Ferrari and red bull can do one

Absolutely brilliant race. Those mercs are seriously quick and fantastic driving. How Lewis held of rosberg was outstanding. Rosberg looked really annoyed actually - like any racer would initially. And great racing down the field - force India and Ricciardo in particular. How MALdanado doesn't get banned I've no idea. The man is a danger.

Flown on both DC-10 and Tristar. Doesn't the DC-10 have a pretty terrible safety record?! Also flew on a DC8 (I think because the DC10 was broken on the way back!!!)

Just recently started a new relationship with VeryPC and found them great. A nice loan machine arrived today - it's very very quick with the i5 and SSD thank you!

Still got my working 48k. I spent HOURS on that. I used to write programs to display various national flags. I think i must have been quite clever at one bit! Girls and alcohol probably killed that lol

Nothing will ever beat my Amiga 500/1200. Happy days with SWOS/Civiliazation/settlers and a load of classic games. Still play them now - mainly emulated but still have. Bunch of Amigas. The tech of the Amiga hardware was beyond it time and some features of the OS have only (relatively) recently been matched IMO.
