Sounds like you need to go into the recovery first and format it and then use download mode and Odin to flash the firmware. If you are flashing the official firmware straight over the OS it wouldn't remove all your settings etc anyway, the same as if you flash an official firmware from a different region (ie: Poland or something), it doesnt wipe your settings out either until you factory reset.

My old HTC Hero used to wedge in the top part of my steering wheel perfectly to be held like that.

Just download Odin and whatever firmware you want, put it in download mode and flash it. Search on XDA for more details.

I've only been drinking coffee for about 5-6 months, one cup a day Mon-Friday, every Saturday afternoon i get a mild headache which i can only put down to coffee as i rarely get a headache otherwise.

I used to feel like i didn't want to eat in the mornings but if you force yourself for a just a week or two you will find that you wake up hungry and its a lot easier, its just getting your body started in that routine.

Recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8 installed but couldn't get on with it so took the plunge and flattened it and am going to use Ubuntu only. Did have it dual booted on my old laptop but only used Windows for flashing mods etc on my phone. Now i have learnt to use ADB so i do it all via command line.

I use Skull Candy chops, they hook over the ear but you can twist the actual ear piece to the angle that is best for you. They also seem incredibly water proof, i sweat buckets but these have survived being used 3-4 a week for at least 2 years now.

I hope this is true, i have been toying with the idea of buying a Nexus 10 when its released but i think 8 inch is the ideal size for a tablet so will definitely be holding off for that.

Have you added any widgets to the lock screen? If so may be worth clearing them and seeing if the problem persists.

Putting some pc's in storage the other day and moved some old bags revealing a small nest and also disturbing them at the same time, ended up swatting them with pieces of conduit before giving up and getting someone in to remove it.

Loving this phone so far, screen looks brilliant, 4.4 is so smooth and quick, battery life for me is the best i have had with a phone for my needs. Only thing that i really have a problem with is the external speaker quality is pretty poor, but i rarely use it so can look past that.

Tethered to my phone aswell, it downloads the update already and then verifies when you have it tethered so you don't need to worry about your data plan.

Got mine this morning but wont have a play until im home tonight. Official cases are to expensive imo, been looking at the Spigen Ultra Hybrid as i want the clear back, £8 on Amazon.

As has already been said, i cant see the point of it unless you don't use whatsapp already or genuinely know enough people that still use bbm.
