The manager password I have is wrong, support aren't being very helpful, probably as the license runs out tomorrow but from what I have seen I don't think you can anyway. I think their may have been some bad feeling towards my company when they switched provider - very unprofessional but it is what it is.

Thanks for your help, I will give that a go and see what i can do.

It requires a key each year to keep functionality, Iv inherited it with a new job and we are looking at cost cutting as its very expensive.

So this will let me view the information within the database?

Morning all, hope everyone is doing well. We have a legacy piece of software that runs on SQL2008 and I need to be able to access it in case HMRC needs us too in case of an audit. It contains old customer accounts and data and is purely legacy. What would you use to connect to it in a user friendly form for reference? Thanks.

Centralised contacts for Mobile Phones
Poults replied to tobiasclarity's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
If you addd a phone number to the contact info in Active Directory and set the Exchange contacts to sync, I dont think it displays in contacts but if you search for the user you can get to the phone number (Assuming you are using Windows and Exchange). -
Has anyone seen this error? Logging into microlibrarian (hosted) and then clicking circulate, when i scan a fingerprint it brings up this number string rather than the user. Have freshly installed the database on another computer and get the same issue, all seems to have happened since the Christmas holidays. Thanks.

I went to the zoo the other day and the zoo keeper pointed me towards a baguette in a cage, he told me it was bread in captivity.

Funnily enough i noticed this today but we have the same issue on windows 7, we haven't applied any workstation patches, only the monthly server roll ups.

We got an error in office 2013 when inserting YouTube videos and there were 2 Microsoft KBs we had to install to rectify it, maybe this has similar?

I recently got the p9 and am really pleased with it. Have always been a Samsung fanboy but this is far superior imo. As you say, fingerprint sensor is brilliant, expandable storage. Lots of people moan about Emui and the iphone style apps going into folders but tbh you can just install a normal launcher anyway so i cant see the porblem myself. Only downside is no water proofing but that only a fall back, i have never needed it before. ps: Battery life is the best i have had on a phone too, on wifi - 8 hours screen on time no problem and on 4G at work i still get home with > 50% after a days use/music etc.

Every Sandisk micro sd or memory stick i have had the pleasure of owning or working with has had issues, wouldn't even consider now.

This is what we do, when we give the devices out the users and parents/carers are warned that if they are returned with a fault they will be wiped and returned to factory and its their respnsibility to backup. We run 1 or 2 sessions with the users to show the how they can back up to the school etc and leave shortcuts on the desktop to school resources (remote access, email etc). The majority of the time i dont think they get used for school work anyway tbh :/

Best hope there arent any brown outs.

Great attitude on not focusing on weight, but the measurements instead. A lot off people should take a leaf from your book! Keep up the good work.

That was more likely an app keeping the phone awake and running the processor at full tilt. Had a member of staff here that said her iphone was taking about 30 hours to charge to full and then draining in 2-3 hours, I took the case off and it was baking hot on the back so I factory reset it and it sorted it out. When i began adding the apps back on it turned out it was a kiddies game that was doing it. I have had the same on Android for not for a few years.

Well we seem to get a high enough failure rate and the common de-nominator every time is that they havent been ejected properly. Coincidence? Possibly, but doubtful.
-
It is nice to see when the kids here have used some initiative and left a text file on the usb if it is lost. Shame most of them still yank them out without ejecting and corrupting them though.

We restrict it after a major outbreak of for sale items, now its just slt, office staff and it support that can use it. They could use mail teachers and mail support staff but no one seems to have clocked on yet.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I will give these a try next week during the holidays. The whole site is jinxed with power issues, any time we have a power cut we are losing power supplies so hopefully it will be that and a relatively cheap fix.
