  10. I like the Big Red Button looks really good. Customisable for different schools too. Without going into code, is it possible to change the writing on the Screen Cover, something a little friendlier for Primaries.

  15. how has the mini pc behaved. looking for something cheaper than a nuc, just for plex / kodi mainly.
  16. Has anybody managed to get the auto login to work using chrome. It seems to default to ie. have a machine set to use chrome as default browser and the .exe from the auto login tool still opens with internet explorer. Thanks Martin
  17. Sorry just trying to get my head around this. So instead of upgrading an account from E1 to E3 for office on ipad. I could get away with "Office 365 ProPlus for Faculty" at half the price
  18. na it will be fine. just remove ie11 from server and will be the same as before you installed. once you've rebooted that is. as long as you've not upgraded all clients to ie11 too ;-)
  19. Yeah should uninstall fine on 08r2. just not on 2012r2. yeah preferences should be ok for 8 and 9. When i'd done the same thing on server 2008. I used gpp to send out reg fixes for proxy etc, seemed the easiest way. I like the preferences for internet explorer. just sometimes have weird issues where it messes up all of the security settings for the internet zone. so have to go through every box to enable or disable. Id just uninstall the server and carry on as you have been. upgrade again once you've got RSAT on a windows 8.1 machine and ready to roll out ie11. But make sure you remove your current internet settings from group policy before you update the server to ie11. There stuck there then if you do. Cheers martin
  20. just remove ie11 on your server and reboot. be fine after that.
  21. Hi all Just wondered if anyone had dealt with Bamboo Solutions before, they do weparts and bits for sharepoint. We've had a company create a sharepoint site for us, all good. But we wanted to sync docs from our internal servers to our sharepoint site. Came across Bamboo who do a product that supposed to do everything we want SharePoint File Share Library Web Part | Bamboo Solutions fileshare Just wondered if anyone has had any experience with them. Trial worked fine, so bought the app. It stopped working after a couple of days. Bamboo have said it's a fault with their product. We've had to buy pro support on top of the webpart. But it's been 2 months and they still haven't created a fix. They're from the USA though and offer no refunds, so we are kind of stuck. Anyone had a similar situation or dealt with Bamboo before. Just frustrating as we've paid for product plus extra support, and they've admitted it's a problem with their webpart. And support is so slow even with Pro support. Any advice or even similar stories with Happy endings would be good Cheers Martin Sorry hope this is in the right place, read a lot but don't often post :-)
  22. Any chance your internet explorer setting by group policy preferences. Had the same issue. You need to go on your internet zone security settings and set everything correctly. Just compare them with your own laptop or something to get them right. It's like using internet explorer preferences resets all of the standard settings even if your only setting home page and proxy. Hope that helps. Martin
  23. Any other Windows based tablets you can recommend. With a keyboard and lowish price. As a companion device, so not replacing laptops. I've seen an Ergo tablet with keyboard, just not had a price to go with it. Prefer something like these for management in schools rather than an iPad :-) Cheers Martin
  24. Can these be upgraded to 8.1 Enterprise for those with EES do you know
  25. I just had the same thing but it's only a little primary school. I've just installed Specops free on the server and reboot the pc's remotley when i need software to roll out. So i leave the fast shutdown on. Windows 8 is weird lol Cheers Martin
