You should have added your Apple org ID when you were ordering from ComputaCentre. If not maybe email the Covid technology so they can do it now. Might take a couple of weeks though to get sorted and yess add those 2 codes to resellers in your apple school manager
-
They come from Computacenter with the chromebooks. You get the chromebook, a bag and license. First few orders seemed to take weeks to be added. Latest ones seem to be a few days
-
Sorry primary too
-
I didn’t realise they did locked iPads. But all unlocked. Just added with schools others. Just means paying for mdm licenses. Using schools bb proxy for filtering
-
Cheers the reseller ID above worked. I emailed them first. It takes a week to get a response though. Had to wait 3 weeks for some chromebook licenses. All very slow going other than the shipping of devices. Thanks again
-
Brill thank you. it's added to ASM. Just hope the usual email with devices added will follow soon. Thank you again

Hi all Anybody had any iPads from the DFE / Computacenter. Have you happened to find their DEP Reseller number. Taking an age to get a reply from the DFE and Computacenter weren't any help. Cheers Martin

Hi all Just wondered if anyone knew of a USB RFID reader that works with Paxton fobs at all. More for a copier than for Net2 software. I've seen some branded with Papercut that work. But can't get an actual make or model to buy them. Anyone have a reader that works with the bullet black/green/purple fobs at all. Cheers Martin

Wonde have partners (Due to the DFE scheme for remote learning provision) who are reselling it at a decent price. More affordable, especially for primaries. Fixed annual price. Send a DM if your interested or ask Wonde (They are very busy at the moment as you can imagine) to put you in touch with a partner. Sorry not advertising, just i know how useful the tool is come september when wanting to move pupils between classes

Schools Broadband In-line Filter down?
whartomt01 replied to snagrat's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
If you call Tesco website support they have an automated message about issues with their website. Spoke to a guy too who said their isn’t at ETA yet but they are working on it (Don’t know what it is but guessing something to do with blacklisting external IP addresses which is why it doesn’t work on schoolsBB) -
Ruckus - BYOD with Netsweeper and SchoolsBroadband

Did anyone get any further with this at all. Anyone using Radius with Netsweeper from Schools BB. -
@Bev who are you using for internet. What filtering and firewall
-
I’m stuck. Set up a test DNA server. With app on my phone. On a standard ‘home’ internet connection. Works perfect. But back at any school with filtering (all the same provider though but different versions of filtering) even when the device is set to bypass filtering. Can’t get it to work. I can’t get any url or ports that need to be allowed from netsupport and isp can’t see anything being blocked. So I’m stuck

Youtube/Netsweeper filtering issues
whartomt01 replied to TMBS's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Seen this at a few sites. Seems to work fine on internet explorer but not Chrome -
Cool good to know it works. Thanks i'll try ip again. Same ios9-ios11 at school. Anything specific on server firewall you've done. Just opened the port it uses. I have firewall off at the minute while i'm testing. Not sure what else there is to try
-
I didnt think it would be. Like i say it pulls the device hardware with local ip or server name so it's communicating. Just no captures. Do you have the app working?
-
Anybody using the Netsupport DNA Web Browser app for IOS If so anything you've done to get the app capturing to the server. I can get it to show hardware info. Just won't capture anything. Stuck at the moment with being told its a filtering issue by support. And ISP opening all ports and no filtering and still having the same issue.

Netsweeper with Schools Broadband

You tried Winhttp Proxy settings? We have to do this with Sophos Central through Netsweeper (and on schools on ICT4C before they went) https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/119263 -
Netsweeper with Schools Broadband

same kind of issue for us. we had mosyle. Needed urls or ports unblocking once they had the pupil and staff proxy port set up. And we seemed to have an issue of having the pac hosted on the same server as authportal. We had an intranet page hosted on the same server. Couldnt browse to it without getting the authportal login popup. If you can. Stick IIS on a random PC and host it there to test an ipad. Seem to think it helped something. It's like the ipads would access the pac file then so it would use the exception for 'authportal' -

We were kind of told it looked like an internal DNS issue. But i don't really see it. Pac files were working for everything else. Can i ask where you host you pac file too? And What MDM your using Strange that they didnt automatically set the ports up for you before the install. After issues we had, i was told it would be part of the process for new schools. Yeah will be fine then with the new ports. Just means you dont know which pupil is using an ipad for reporting (but if like me, thats how we had it in lightspeed anyway) -

You still getting the authportal pop up and doesnt seem to recognise credentials? You using a pac file for proxy for ipads and anything mentioned about your DNS. We got around it with the proxy ports setup pointing to pupil or staff . But interesting to hear others with the same issue (sorry not helpful i know) Got a few migrations of the next few weeks. will see if they have the same issues (Although we are having the ports setup before install fingers crossed) -
