It's probably the windows 8 fast boot thing. If you reboot the machines even without gpupdating do they get the software. I think if you turn off hibernate they won't do the fast shutdown so will then pickup software on startup. But then will take longer to turn off and on

have you got the reconnect box ticked. Try unticking. Really strange. How about changing the GPP to Replace instead of update. I'm never sure if they make any difference though. Do they have permissions to the Year 3 area. Can you take it away or do they need access

Any Chance you used MDT to deploy your images. Is about:blank the homepage your task sequence sets. I had similar problem. Just showed whatever homepage was set on my task sequence. But after a while I figured it set the homepage on second login just not the first

Permissions ok on your share? Or are you sure the machine your logging on to hasn't already got a H: drive. Maybe a card reader. Come across that sometimes. Look in disk management or try U: drive instead?

It's the Lack of choice for schools From ICT4Leeds / Leeds Learning Network. Even offering a 2 year deal at a more expensive price may have tempted more schools into moving to ICT4Leeds. But schools can sign up for a 1 year contract with another provider, if they don't like it the can move on the following year. But if they don't like ICT4Leeds, they're tied in for 4 years. Sorry, just my opinion. Hope schools make the right choice

Having the Same Problem if anyone can help. Using Multipoint 2011 LG N194WA Monitors (With N computing built in) Ncomputing Vspace. I've tried the reg setting and still no luck. I didn't have the RDP-TCP reg key (Had RDP-TCP8 & RDP-TCP9) so created that and still no luck. I've attached pic of the reg keys. I have added the 'LoginTimeout' key DWORD to all of the keys as i'm pulling my hair out. Any help would be great. Cheers

Ta for that. Started using it for windows 7 deploy, not brill but run better than xp. Thought it could be that, I added all the drivers I own to the deploy share and still no luck. No worries if not though, will use a wds image if needs be Thanks again Martin

Any idea how you got MDT working with the E2500's. No matter what i do MDT can't find the drive to install on. Tried as many different drivers as i can find but still no luck. Not had any problems with any other machines, just these damn fujitsu E2500's

Hi all hoping someone may be able to help with a problem i'm ahving with a school i deal with. This is a Primary School who have both Microsoft office and open office (Because of cost they can't afford MS office on all machines, and they don't really like OO). Is there a way of setting the file associations with 2 programs. first MS office then Open Office. At the moment i'm using Mandatory profiles and in here i've set the Default to MS office HKEY_USERS\STAFFNEW\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.doc "Progid"="Word.Document.8" I know how to change this to a different program, but is there a way to set this to Open office if MS office isn't installed. Because at the min, all of the programs that don't have MS office installed default to Wordpad. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Martin
