  1. I got asked to order 2 skips and a mobile paper shredder. I've also helped the caretaker rod the drains where the toilets run into. Luckily for me he was the one covered in sh1te at the end of it Primary's are strange places
  2. Were buying refurb PCs now and sticking the SSDs in ourselves. £110 for a HP core i5 4GB RAM grade A 12 months warranty and then £40 for a 120GB sata3 SSD Or £50 for a dell core2duo 3ghz 4GB RAM grade A 12 months warranty. With an added SSD they make great office machines or machines for areas of the school where they only require word PowerPoint and the Internet etc The machines are great and half the cost of new
  3. I sold it to the SLT from a safeguarding perspective. We had policy central, it wasn't working impero filled this gap. It's now been in for 18 months
  4. About 80% of the site is SSD here

  7. Ok, tried that and it goes directly to our onsite login page where users are required to logon.. I have ensured that the site is in the security sections and that user logon is enabled in IE It says opening mailbox but then redirects to the onsite login page
  8. IE by default Will look at that URL today Thanks
  9. Not sure if I've got this right in my head or not but here goes We've just had our exchange server migrated to o365. We use ADFS to sync users between AD and o365 When we go to the Microsoft login page we are redirected to our onsite login page Is there a way for staff to get pre authenticated to login to their email if they are in school and logged into their own domain accounts ?
  10. Has office 2016 for mac appeared on anyones volume licensing page yet?
  11. We are currently using version 5.003 of impero. We have a VDI solution that up until yesterday was working fine. Yesterday we applied 6 months worth of windows updates (yes i know) to the master image and at the same time updated the impero client from 4.2.14 to 5.003. Now, whenever we log onto one of the VDI machines it takes anywhere between 3-5 minutes for the internet to work. After about 3-5 minutes it starts working fine. If I remove the impero client from the master VDI image then there are no issues with the internet. If I uninstall 5.0.0.3 and install 4.2.14 the the issue is still there. Again, removing the impero client fixes the issue. I have also enabled and disabled the impero proxy to no effect. So, I can only assume that there is a windows update that is incompatible with impero? We specify a proxy to access the internet but when trying to access google or bbd for example we get a ReadResponce() error We are using Windows 7 and IE 10. Anyone got any ideas?
  12. iPhone for all of it for me with the outlook app. Only go into my gmail account on a desktop / laptop if there is specific requirement too (to print etc)

    Office 365

Convert them to a shared mailbox so they don't use a license and then add yourself to to the shared mailbox so that you can get in easily if needed
  14. Just the USB for us
  15. Another vote for bitlocker here All staff have USB keys that have been crippled to 1mb (I think) that they must insert into the laptop before it is powered on otherwise it won't boot. All recovery keys are stored with the machine account in AD
  16. Thanks for your suggestions I will try some of them out

  23. Those same machines were being offered to me today with 12 months warranty for £250 Everything we buy laptop/desktop wise is refurb now. The machines come to us looking like new and have 12 months warranty on them for a lot less than a comparable new PC
