Issue logging onto Windows 10 with Domain Accounts
JJonas replied to mattwilkinson7's topic in Windows 10
I have had this with roaming profiles, I disabled roaming profiles on the accounts that needs to use our few Windows 10 machines and that fixed it. -
Is the play store exempt? I would say it's a Google app so is now unlikely to get updates. If so how long before it stops working...

Oh are we doing predictions on who is going to sit on the Iron Throne? I will go with Bran if there is indeed a throne left to sit on.

Chromebooks: Group by location in Google Admin?
JJonas replied to JJonas's topic in How do you do....it?
So presumably I can tell the Chromebooks to clean up after a user logs off via a setting somewhere in G-Suite? -
Just set up our first six Chromebooks. At the moment they are all in one department and getting rave reviews from students and staff. Which is great. If we get more is it possible for me to group them by department in Google Admin. So I can have different software depending on where they are located?

I agree with that list

Well I got up early and watched it over breakfast, no spoilers from me but Wow! you don't want to miss this.

There you go. Battle on two fronts with the Night King ignoring Winterfell and flying straight to Kings Landing

Tall Tales trailer - this is the story mode people were saying was missing from launch. This is a free update, as is all of the DLC for this game. If you haven't played in a while here are the additions since launch (Source:https://seaofnews.net/2019/02/06/whats-changed-in-sea-of-thieves/)

[bug/error] 503 Errors While Trying To View The Website...

If you have found a back door way to install things without paying for the service you will almost certainly be breaking licensing terms and copyright. At best you will probably invalidate your warranty(s) and at worst you could make the school liable for a large fine and possibly find yourself on the receiving end of disciplinary action. Remember you cant be fired for refusing to break the law. If they want it they need to pay for it.

Electrocuted by dropping phone in bath while charging
JJonas replied to mikeprice's topic in General Chat
Its not the voltage, it is the current that kills. See https://www.scienceabc.com/humans/how-many-volts-amps-kill-you-human.html and https://www.asc.ohio-state.edu/physics/p616/safety/fatal_current.html -
Started watching this tonight, great series. Episodes so far have been less than 20 minutes, so it's good for a quick watch.

I am still getting this. I can patch it by using the batch file but is there a way to stop it once and for all?
-
@runcmd That's interesting we are considering a move the other way.

Staff Well-being - Out of Hours email usage
JJonas replied to Arcolite's topic in Enterprise Software
I looked into this a while back and even got talking to G-Suite support about it. It is not something that can be enabled on G-Suite. So I recommended that staff not send whole school emails outside working hours. I myself have installed Quiet for Gmail and changed my email signature to reflect this (I am using Quiet for GMail. Email contact hours 07:00 - 18:00 GMT, Monday - Friday) -
What are you using to keep cables under control? I have been told I cant use cable ties. I have been looking at that Fellows cable wrap but at about £11 for 2 metres it is expensive.

^ I want one. Got any spare?

This is quite a handy fix. I modified my copy to include our key. https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/4032981/powershell-script-for-windows-7-non-genuine-issue-is-available

Thanks, this worked for me.
