Not done it, but it looks like Management>Wifi then click your network, choose automatic for the proxy and fill in the URL.

Argylle (Cinema) A spy novelist has an uncanny knack for predicting real world events in the world of espionage, leading her to be sought after by two opposing forces. Not the "Cavill plays Bond" flick that seemed to be on the cards, but a generally fun action comedy. I was a bit worried that Matthew Vaughan had fallen prey to the "Bourne" style of fight scenes, as he generally shoots his fights so that you can clearly see what's happening and most of the fights here were shot in close quarters, but a couple of set pieces towards the end show him back on form. Quite twisty but it does seem to make sense - though the final scene and a mid-credits scene murky the waters a bit. Probably not a "cinema" one unless you go a lot especially as it will be on Apple TV+ fairly soon. Hopefully its soft box office takings won't mean that the proposed franchise will stall. At present a "prequel" show is planned which seems more like an adaptation of the book this is supposed to be based on, as well as a couple more movies and the mid-credits scene hints at another tie-in. Talking about the book, I have my suspicions that it is part of a multimedia master plan rather than a novel that got picked up for adaptation...

Watched the first couple of episodes of the Amazon Mr & Mrs Smith show. At a loss as to why people seem to love it. It felt like the actors were making up their lines as they went along, the missions didn't make sense, and the direction was very flat. Probably not helped by me forgetting to adjust the TV prior to watching (Amazon shows often need the picture tinkering with on our set for some reason). I think the Alexander Skarsgard/Eiza Gonzalez pairing in the prologue might have made for a more entertaining show.

I've heard this is due at around the same time George R R Martin finishes writing his "Song of Ice and Fire" series. All my sites are KS1/2 so our MIS needs aren't as stringent as others but we haven't looked back since ditching SIMS.

The latest Indian movie to get a wide UK release (but not in our cinema, where the two they tried played to mainly empty screens). Looks like Top Gun but with a higher bare chest count and a lot of actual aerial combat. Also looks like India/Pakistan relations are getting worse.

Anyone But You (Cinema) TRAILER NSFW (Language and scenes involving rumpy/bare parts) After a meet-cute in a coffee shop Bea and Ben spend an incredible night together, but misunderstandings in the morning curdles the relationship. 2 years later, still hating each other, they find themselves at the same wedding in Australia. Her folks are trying to pair her off with her ex while he's still pining for his ex, who is also a guest. They hatch a plan to act like the perfect couple to drive off her ex whilst making his jealous. Based loosely on "Much Ado About Nothing", though it does manage to sneak in a few of Shakey's lines and a lot of his "loudly discussing the protagonists so that they will overhear and act on the 'secret' they have discovered", this is a fun romcom. Not as raunchy as the trailer suggests, it's actually quite sweet. I wouldn't rush to the cinema but, if you're into romcoms, worth a look when it hits streaming. P.S. The BBFC rated this 15 for "strong language" but my notes on the trailer are more accurate!

Been along time since I had to use it, but IIRC they were basically the same. I always used to install "LabelPrint" as it was on the CD (yes, that long ago), so not sure if it was a necessity. I wonder if with JL3 it was necessary and the "built in" printing facility came when they moved to the .NET nomenclature/subscription model?

Think my surgery needs to have a word with their website peeps.

I'm not sure that even those of you that work at posh schools have valet parking. Round here, we're more likely to have to pay pupils to make sure our wheels stay attached.

Bit of a long shot, but try running LabelPrint in compatibility mode for W7. If you can install W7 or 8 it may be worth testing on another machine (or in a VM) to see if it's just that JL3 isn't compatible with W10. P.S. Recommend https://libresoft.co.uk/ . Annual cost, but so much easier to use. Cloud based so can be accessed from staff laptops and I use OpenKiosk on the library machines so that they can only be used for the library and not to play games on.

Have you had it running on W10 previously?

That's the aspect that put me off. I didn't have an unhappy childhood but I never look back on it as a magical time either.

I started with Baal and went up to Wolf's Hour. Not sure if I read Blue World and, though I think I bought Mine, Boy's Life and Gone South, I felt they sounded too much like Stephen King novels for my taste and never got around to them.

I read about this. Used to love RRMcC but kinda stopped reading his stuff, possibly because a check on Wiki suggests he didn't publish anything for a decade. Loved "Swan Song" and, yes it is better than "The Stand" but I thought they had an incorrect synopsis until I checked. I remembered "Job's Mask", but not the nuclear stuff! Wonder if I still have the book in the garage/storage?

Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway (Netflix) Based on a true story, this follows the struggles of an Indian mother whose children are taken into custody in Norway to extricate them from an unjust system. Worth a look, though I'd suggest fast-forwarding through the musical montages unless you're a big fan of such interludes. Glad I watched this after some of the lighter Norwegian shows I've recently enjoyed as I don't think I'd have enjoyed them as much after seeing this film.

Now that I know what SchoolGrid is, I'll add a few minor problems we have had. These have all been with the catering terminal etc rather than SchoolGrid itself. Our terminal needs a wired network connection. We used a Powerline in the end. If you make any network changes, don't forget to make them to the terminal or there will be trouble come lunchtime. Junior School in a rough area - the "clicker" the pupils use has already been replaced once. If a problem occurs with the terminal the catering staff understandably won't have a clue. Expect to be called! If it's not an easy fix, pray that the catering staff manage to get a replacement terminal out before next lunchtime. As you probably guessed, we've just had a problem. I suspect the external power supply or the on/off switch on the terminal but stopped bringing a multimeter in and won't take their kit apart.

Finished Reacher Season 2. Dumb fun but, as they had already leant into cheesy lines and made at least one joke using the casting of one of the top two bad guys, I felt they missed opportunities for more. Such as SPOILER "What happened to Langston?" "I terminated him." Anyway, S3 has started filming already. Apparently the book it's based on features a big bad who is even physically bigger than Reacher.

I haven't noticed any degradation to the service, but the sites that have gone down this route are Primaries and use the "one input/one output" style. I'm pretty sure both "ends" need to be on the same ring main. More to the point, they need to be placed/labelled so that they don't get turned off/unplugged. Not used one, but have just used standard APs + a POE injector in similar circumstances. If you have a spare, you could test. Have also used Homeplug/Powerline when desperate.

Given that a message trace only shows what appears to be replies to people about the incorrectly sent one, I'm guessing I'm on a wild goose chase, but any idea where to start?

Someone (not me!) has made a boo-boo and we need to recall/delete an email sent via Arbor. Waiting for a reply from them, but thought I'd check here to see if anyone has any ideas.

I heard of them today, when I was informed that there was a "problem" with a couple of the pupils' names being changed*. It looks like their support was pretty quick to respond. According to the ladies in the office, it's generally easy to use and they don't tend to have problems. Not sure whether it is standard to only have 1 logon credential for the whole school, or whether it's just whoever set it up being lazy. I've suggested that the office look into being the only ones who can access more than choosing dinners. *Almost certainly caused by the teacher failing to lock their machine and leaving it unattended.
