A lot of us aren't involved in such decisions. TBH, flipping a coin would probably be better than the way most management that I have had to deal with "plan". Gives you a 50% chance of getting it right.

+1 for Ventoy. You can also partition the disk and use that partition for other things - I have a "Portable Apps" partition. Rufus is also good if you just want to have a single OS USB.

Fun comedy thriller that's worth a couple of hours of your time. Players (Netflix) NSFW trailer: A bit bawdy and has at least one swear word. Mack and her 2 pals run elaborate "plays" to get each other "companionship". When she takes a shine to a top journalist, the team set up to do their thing... but what if she wants more than just one night? Quite a fun movie, though if you paid attention to the trailer you probably know where it's heading.

1x laptop> HDMI> wall plate> projector/AV stack. Works OK. 1x laptop> HDMI to VGA adapter + 3.5 audio (due to age of plate)> wall plate> projector/AV stack. You can guess the problems that this causes. Hopefully to be replaced with... 1x dedicated laptop> HDMI> large display screen that is wheeled onto the hall when needed. This works brilliantly.

Not at the school where I use this until tomorrow, but when I set up a new intake year I select all the users in the OU and do something like the below. First stage %username% and apply, second stage appends\Documents or IIRC it throws an error. NOTE: from memory, so may not be 100% accurate! If you've got some leavers you could stick in an OU, or you have time to create a few fake accounts, you could test. Works fine for new peeps, but I can't remember how I made the change when the problem/feature appeared to be sure what impact, if any, it had on long-time users. Can't remember any complaints, though. If you don't have 100s of OUs to deal with it shouldn't be too bad.

My "MS" school joined a "group" that was mainly Google so I had to set up a Google domain so they could access shared Google drives etc. Was pretty painless. Did the same as you in that I didn't set up GMail as all email still goes through Exchange.

How does this work with pupils (and staff) who treat equipment like poop? Or are you lucky enough not to have too much of this?

Over 1/2 term I read Fables (151 to 162) and MiracleMan: The Silver Age. The Fables took a long time to get into, and the art wasn't as strong as previously. The last few issues were an improvement but I'd say that issue 150 was such a good ending that I wouldn't recommend the relaunch. MiracleMan was much better but, given the decades it took in legal battles, will we ever get to see "The Dark Age"?

Found one video that made it look like a do-able job, but my skill level would require a couple of days of decent weather and no need to drive anywhere (at least). I think I'm going to see how we get on with just the blower for now as £70 (part) + £40-£60 (regas) plus the frustration and skinned knuckles moves it into the "can probably do without" league for me.

Tried this and kept falling asleep. She can be quite good in some things (I was quite impressed by her in "Marry Me" but I guess it wasn't much of a stretch). They gave her some godawful haircuts and costumes in the bits of "Atlas" I woke up for.

Good idea. The leak was revealed when I went for a regas and the mobile guy suggested the condenser as the most likely spot for my car model. Guess it could be somewhere else, though the most accessible bit would be where they attach the refill canister to and you'd hope that ATS did that properly! Otherwise, most of what's under the bonnet is a complete PITA to get to.

My car is 15 years old and has a slow leak, likely from the condenser according to the "mobile" chap I called. His guesstimate was around £250-£300, which is reasonable considering the work involved (removing the front bumper etc) but I'm reluctant to spend that much on a non-essential for a car that will probably not be being kept for more than 2 or 3 more years. A new condenser is around £70 (plus subsequent regas) but the work is beyond me and it may not be the condenser, so I was looking at the aircon equivalent of Radweld. A "repair" kit costs around £60 and the work involved is something I'm capable of, but I know some people say "don't do it!". So has anyone got any personal experience? IF (Cinema) Bea (Cailey Fleming) is only 12 but her mother has died of cancer and now her Dad (John Krasinski) is in hospital awaiting a serious heart operation. She is sent to live with her grandmother (Fiona Shaw) for the summer and one night sees a strange creature named Blossom (voiced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge). Following the creature leads her into the world of IFs, forgotten childhood Imaginary Friends who Cal (Ryan Reynolds) and Blossom are trying to match up with new kids. Though this movie is being marketed as a fun family comedy I'd class it more as a kid's film for grown-ups, which is a much tougher sell I guess. It's not kid-unfriendly,but I do think certain adults will get a lot more out of the film. The cast are great, with Reynolds toning it down a bit and Cailey Fisher's performance is incredible. Fiona Shaw is always good, but her scene dancing to Khachaturian's "Spartacus" is superb. The FX are great, too. Mme LeMarchand and I loved it, but we were the only people in the screen. So far the Box Office has been "soft", which is a shame. If you still hope that one day you'll find a wardrobe that leads to Narnia or that an owl will drop you a scroll informing you that you've been inducted into the new mature students program at Hogwarts you'll probably get a lot out of this. P.S. No end credits scene as such, but there is a "In loving memory" sequence of clips featuring Lewis the bear, played by Louis Gossett Jr, who sadly passed in March.
