We had a ticket left unanswered for a month until yesterday. I got the HT to speak with somebody in the LEA and then magically I had a response within a couple of hours saying a replacement will be delivered next week.May be worth getting in touch with somebody in your LEA.

Same as above, our channel has videos but the majority are hidden and a link is sent to the relevant Parents. There were some videos from the 1st lockdown that we wanted all parents to be able to access but now it's mostly on a Year / Class basis so hidden video with link is best.

We use Forms too. Been a massive help. -
We've got this enabled, to my knowledge you can only access it in the Meeting and like Tefters, our teachers download it at the end of the lesson to get a full picture of whos logging in and for how long etc

We use Parents-Booking by NetMedia. We ran 2 Parents Evenings via Videocall using their service last Autumn. We used to use them as a way of signing Parents up to Parents Evening but now they have the video function too, it's great. The only problems we ran into was the occasional Parents struggling to access it.

I put in a support ticket 10 days ago and another 6 days ago regarding 2 faulty Geobooks and haven't heard anything back. Very very frustrating.

We submitted a request to extend data for Vodafone SIMs last week and we've still had no update either.

I second Libresoft, we moved over to this from MLS and not only is it cheaper, it's much better and the staff find it much easier to use. So I would really consider this. 3s-gtech is correct on the 3 months notice, but as they say challenge it. I do have one bit of advice though, one of our schools was able to move to another version of the MLS software that was cheaper for the year. Even though they didn't use it, it allowed them to move to Libresoft, pay less to MLS and then cancel for the next year. Something to consider.

We did have to accept them. For the last week of the December term, the only laptop devices available from the DfE were these Geobooks. As schools have had to provide laptops to children due to remote learning we absolutely had to accept them. I've had one delivered with a faulty backlight and have logged a case so hopefully this is resolved soon enough!

All our staff are in every day. We have more kids in than the first lockdown. -
Had problems today with lots of live lessons. Bad quality/ sound not working. - - - Updated - - - The "Don't allow attendees to unmute" button option is there to set, but when the meeting is in progress, a presenter doesn't seem to be able to unmute attendees.

Admin Center has been very slow today and at times unusable.

We opted for the DfE Secured Windows laptops as they were Dell and not some other brand I've never heard of with the unsecured ones. They're okay and run pretty fast. DfE Secured means they're locked down and have the filtering on which is what we need when sending devices home to students.

I've had to take the device off the domain before and then login locally and retry...this has then worked.

Are they using the Teams app? I found some of our staff were having trouble but were fine when they used the app.

You can create a Form / Quiz within Microsoft Forms then you add it to a Teams assignment. When adding to the assignment, it opens a box and takes you to all the Forms / Quizzes you have created in MS Forms and you can then select the Form / Quiz you want to add to the assignment. As long as the Form / Quiz isn't deleted from Microsoft Forms it will be there to choose from in the next academic year.

Same, check the ILO.

After you enter the PIN wrong a few times, it should automatically come up with the recovery page. That's what happens here. Running W10 Education 1903.

Parent's Evening Software? What're you using that works well?
gmonks replied to pete's topic in How do you do....it?
We use https://parents-booking.com/ as our booking software, but they've now started a video call service within their website. It looks promising from what we've see, and we're going to use it this year . Hopefully it goes okay. -

Our School had a power outage last night lasting for a few hours, wonder if this is the cause.
