We’re offering a new and exciting opportunity for someone skilled in SIMS data management and with an excellent understanding of school business processes to join our successful Schools ICT team. We are part of Orbis IT & Digital, a shared service operated by partners Brighton & Hove City Council, East Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council. You’ll help with MIS software evaluation, testing, implementation planning and transition/customer readiness. Key activities include the design and delivery of training & consultancy to customers (primarily for MIS systems but also for associated tools and processes), resolving escalated customer issues, and supporting them with meeting their statutory obligations and improving their business effectiveness. If you have experience of working in a support team or a school, especially if you’ve used SIMS both intensively and broadly in a secondary school – particularly on the academic management side of things – are a great communicator, and enjoy being the in-house superuser that people come to for help with solving their MIS queries, we’d love to hear from you. We are also really interested in any experience you may have had with delivering training, or supporting/using alternative school MIS systems, third party tools, Office 365 and PowerBI; however, not having this is not a barrier as full training will be given. You can find further detail about the role in the listed Job Description. Please see further information and how to apply on the East Sussex County Council web site here: https://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/jobs/job/7620/orbis/TP/6789/7619/business-systems-consultant/business-services/east-sussex-and-brighton-and-hove?utm_campaign=google_jobs_apply&utm_source=google_jobs_apply&utm_medium=organic **APPROVED**

We are looking for an experienced 2nd/3rd line SIMS support person, or a SIMS manager from a larger school perhaps, who is a real expert with SIMS, has line management experience, and can inspire the respect of their small team, who are experts in their own right. You would be resolving the most complex issues, setting direction for the team and supported schools and line managing 5 including our customer service co-ordinator (service desk supervisor). We have a separate team that looks after the SIMS technical environment and you'd also be working closely with them. We are recruiting to this permanently later in the year but would love someone to cover the role until about December, and even better if we like you and you like us and you want to stay! We are a well established and knowledgeable team of 23. Please contact me for further info as appointment would be through our managed services provider (an agency). This is full time full year and the equivalent annual salary is £34196 to £36937. No agencies. [email protected] Karen Guthrie Head of ICT Schools & Business Solutions
