A friend of mine has done insanity and he loved it even though he started from a position of being quite unfit. As @jinnantonnixx says, a routine is really important. So for me its running Sunday to Wednesday (about 5K) and when I get back I will do about 15 minutes or so of press-ups, sit-ups and some dumbbell weights. Thursday is a day off for a couple of beers and an Asda pizza (yep its a rock and roll lifestyle for me). On Friday I play 5-a-side with other staff after school on our all weather pitches. Its a routine that I stick to pretty religiously and it has paid dividends in terms of weight loss and generally feeling better about myself. The main thing for me is that when I get home from work I get changed straight away and go for my run - if I were to sit down then theres a pretty good chance it might not happen!

You really need to create a 'Clean' PC built into the PackageBuild location on the RMMC. You then run the App Wizard to create the packages on that PC. RM used to run courses on package building which were quite good, so it might be worth seeing if they still do them if you're interested.

Options are usually greyed out because because you are in the wrong menu to carry out that task - however I can't find a menu that un-greys the New Package option. I have to say we don't normally create packages from the RMMC anyway so I couldn't say if its ever worked!

Same as - will wait for the PS4 version this time. Skyrim is still probably my all-time favourite PS3 game and I would have liked to see another episode on the PS4 as opposed to an MMO. Seems unlikely now though

+1 for this. I never use it simply because its so flipping cumbersome. The upgrade has come at a good time though as we will be installing some new hosts in the very near future!

You are of course quite right - I spoke to the CC4 product manager a while back and he mentioned something about Windows Updates and the build process, but it obviously wasn't that!

I have a print server on 2003 which won't be upgraded until next year when our copier lease expires and we decide on new print management software. I also have another server that runs our cashless catering and biostore software. If I have any money I will try and get that upgraded this summer.

No you can't I'm afraid. They need to be added to the CC4 database as well as AD and this is done during the build process. It would seem that quite a bit of the build time is taken up by Windows updates at the end and apparently they are going to give you the option to skip this. The updates can then be downloaded using BITS and the machine can be used at the same time

They have been saying this for a long time so I won't hold my breath! Possibly the most frustrating part is the overnight sync that so many changes require - I have no idea why they can't be live straight away.

No worries. I will give them a call and see what they say. We are using Schools Cash Office and while the support is good and people very friendly, it is looking very clunky and dated now.

Just as a matter of interest do you know how much WisePay costs as I am quite interested but don't want to get into a lengthy sales conversation with them if its going to be prohibitively expensive!

I think we may have used them in the past not sure. If its lamps you want (i.e. without the housing) then it might be worth looking at http://www.interlight.biz who are based in the US You need the details of the lamp (which should be on it) but we get our Sahara Projector lamps through them at about half the the UK price. There is shipping and duty to take into account but it has always worked out cheaper and they arrive as quickly as ones we have purchased in the UK! They do complete the complete assemblies too but I don't know how their prices compare to UK suppliers

Yes we are. Unattended access is an option but unless you have lots of issues with SIMS, I don't really see why they would need it. I much prefer to give access as and when its needed even if its not quite as convenient!

I'm not sure why you need to give them an account on your system. If we need support from Capita (LEA and SupportNet) we generally set up a remote session for them on the SIMS server and they can do what they need there.

External CAT5 will do the job fine and maybe run extras as others have said. I think fibre is probably going to be expensive if you are on a tight budget and probably wont make a big difference to performance anyway. You could run the cables in containment (galvanised box trunking for example) but its probably going to be overkill

We have been using HP Probooks for the last 5 years and have found them to be very robust and reliable. The odd problem that we've had have been sorted very quickly. I looked at Lenovo but after the terrible support we had with them for some AIOs, I decided to pass them by.

Generally all our groups start with HWS (Hazelwick School) which is also how our servers are named. So we have HWS Non Teaching Staff, HWS Students and so on. We keep all the distribution groups in a single OU so that we can sync them with O365

On a visit to the States during my Navy days, a number of the crew hired from 'rent-a-wreck' and many soon discovered that getting out of the parking lot was an achievement. Me and 3 of my mess mates hired a new convertible and had much more fun! The US road trip is very very appealing!

I went through a similar process about 18 months ago and in then end went for the Avaya IP Office 500 and its been very good. Most phone systems have similar functionality but the Avaya kit is very well supported and widely used so you have a choice of providers/maintainers. Plenty of choice for handsets too. What you do need to watch out for on all these systems is the licensing costs - some functionality is free on one system and an additional cost on another. I was in Cornwall last week (Treyarnon Bay near Padstow) as part of a year 12 Geography trip. Its a beautiful place -as is Cornwall generally, and I would probably do any camping etc in that region

The SW coast thing has occurred to me before although perhaps using YHA. Either way I need to get away from Crawley :-)
