Are Iiyama Monitors still a very decent brand in the flat screen world? I know they were really good in the CRT days. I just did a naughty and decided to go back to having a desktop as i kind of miss it and just ordered a Mac Mini, so need a monitor to go with it. Was thinking of going Overclockers on my lunch break, is this one a decent one Iiyama Prolite E2483HS-B1 24" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black [E2483HS-B1] ? I would love an Apple Cinema display but i ain't got £900 spare to spend on a monitor as well.

More impressed that an iPad Mini 1 with Edu discount and without VAT is now £158! That makes going 1:1 very realistic. Add Microsofts Office 365 for Word, Excel Powerpoint on iPad, some garage band and all the many other useful apps you have a compelling option.

Question is am i brave enough to release it to all our IT Suites and Staff Laptops.

I've got a 2014 Macbook Air sealed at home that i bought to replace my 2012 Air but left it sealed until Yosemite came out, so I'm going to get no sleep tonight More happy they are keeping the iPad Mini 1, but making it even cheaper, we're about to get 150 for our school so will cost even less now.

Is this still present in 10.9.5 ? I know it was in 10.9.4 but 10.9.5 has SMB fixes as one of its core features, not sure if they fixed the permission issue in with that.

Mac OS became free with 10.9 onwards. If you do manage to get hold of a 10.7 disc there is no activation. You can still buy 10.7 from Apple OS X Lion (10.7) - Apple Store (UK)

That one can take up to Mac OS 10.7.5

What does it say on the 'About Mac' page? (Apple Symbol top left of screen, about this mac), click More Info, it should tell you what year it is from. That will tell us what the Max OS it can take is.

Would this not be painfully slow unless you had at least a 100 Megabit connection and the internet traffic was currently light. Can just imagine class of 30 all saving at the same time with big files, or what about large video files.

If you apply the update via iTunes it does not need that much space. The iPad 2 should have a few more years in them easy. iOS 7 was not great on my iPad 2, but 7.1 fixed that and it ran well with it. Im guessing iOS 8 will be the last they will release for the iPad 2, but so long as it continues to run the Apps you require it won't be an issue.

If you have Mac Servers already turn on Profile Manager in Server as this has options for setting iOS options.

Mini Metro on steam is keeping me busy at the moment, might give that a go if i start going back into it lots now the dark and cold nights are back.

The holding down the left button makes my figure go painful too. Luckly i can use my middle finger most the time on my laptops track pad, so its only gaming now that hurts.

We use Time Machine, and is the best backup software i have seen yet for the clients, but its OS X only.

I was in no way addicted to mine craft , i really enjoyed it though, but since playing it for the last 2 years on and off my index finger, the one i am continually clicking with to mine blocks now feels like it has RSI. Anybody else's finger broken after playing Minecraft for a long time? I've decided to stop playing so my finger does not get even worse.

I could just be going mad, but i was sure earlier in the week (and before that) that when i allocated licences i could tick Exchange, Lync, etc, but i've just gone to do this and its kind of all or nothing. Office 365 ProPlus for Students , no individual services under it. I am not imaging it they were on the licensing page just a few days ago?

In the Exchange Management Console, click the users mail box, then on the right hand side select Full Access, add the account you want to be able to access this mailbox, then login to Outlook Web Access with the account you have just added to the full access list, at the top right and click your name, then you can type in another mailbox to open up.

10.6 Snow Leopard needs 1GB RAM, as does 10.5. 10.4 only needs 256MB so it is either upgrade RAM or find 10.4 on ebay maybe?

If they are supply staff and not actually employees of the establishment then I'm guessing you just don't count them.

So Windows 10 is going to be like the Mac OS X releases? So its all Mac OS 10, but they release Mac OS 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4 etc?
