I bought 2 to test here of the 4gig versions for £186 ish each. We took off the Linux install and put XP on it we also have it running sims and Office, total disk space used was around 1.2 gig. It seems to perform really well and with the wireless connection I was very impressed with it. Will continue to 'Play' around with it for a while longer.

Everytime I try to bott my thin client the loading bar screen shows fills a small amount then goes to BusyBox v1.1.3 (initramfs) and a flashing prompt. I am using Edubuntu, intially it booted the client and when I logged in it said "Workstation not Authorised" so after digging around i used ltsp-update-sshkeys and then ltsp-update-image, when I rebooted it now does the above. This is really beggining to bug me now as I have ended up re-installing the server 3 times. Any ideas?

no, why will it make any difference? I resolved the issue though, seems that you have to update the image everytime you make a change

For my sins I am looking at implementing a Linux Thin Client Solution I know, I know, I am a windows man and Linux is nasty I have an Edubuntu Server installed and an HP T5725 test client. When I connect both to a switch isolated from the main netwook it PXE boots and the Edubuntu image works and I can log in fine. Open office opens and I was quite impressed:eek:. Looks nice so far. The problem I have is this, whenh I plug both the server and the client into the main network (which is Win 2003 exclusively) it starts to boot the image, the Edubuntu spalsh screen shows the bar fills a little bit then dumps to a screen with Busy box. Any ideas? Also does anyone have a link to a newbie guide on how users can log on using their domain passwords. Thanks in advance.
